Hello again! I am now going over my bike looking for problems, and have found a few (rear brake line had a piece taken out of it, for example) but this brings me to a problem. Where do I get parts!? Things like the belt that adjusts my rear shock can't possibly be common in generic stores, and there's no FZ600's for parts nearby. Is there a good store to go to? Also, semi-generic things like my brake line. Where's a good source for that? I can't cut brake line to length, so I have to order the right size. Also, is there a good place for rebuild materials for the carbs? Or are those generic enough parts I can find them anywhere? I've been spoiled by t…

hi there i am new to this forum as you can see and i wanted to know, i have a 2rk tzr125 and it keeps using spark plugs as there's no tomorrow, when the plug fails it seems to look fine with no traces of over oiling. i am using a br9es as it says in the Haynes manual to do so. any help please!!!! many thanks Chris

hope i am not being thick here but i have a xt125 2005 i have put a kan air filter on it used to have a big box filter on and i can not beleive how load it is now is their any way of making it quieter

Hi all, I've recently rebuilt the top end of my sr125 engine and have refitted the whole thing back into the frame - now the tricky part, the electrics (wish I'd taken more photos first...) It looks like someone has done a bit of a hatchet job on the electrics at some stage as what I have differs from the Haynes manual - could someone confirm the routing of the cable that is connected to the starter motor? Where does it connect to and which route does the cable get attached to the frame? Also (and this may be part of the answer) what connects directly to the negative terminal on the battery? BIKE: Yamaha DT125R 2006 reg Hi Guys The hand grips on my DT are very worn out. I'm looking to replace them, but wanted to use the same ones, or at least Yamaha brand. I want to keep the bike as original as possible. I have looked everywhere online but I cant seem to find any Yamaha grips. Does anyone know where i could find them? Cheers

ive brought a K&N style air filter and fitted it with the standard 86 jet when i went for a test ride it was lagging on acceleration and was screaming at a about 35mph, so i upsized the jet by 10 to 96 it seemed like it got worse so i went back to standard. should i upsize even more or are there any other tweaks i need to do? Hi, got a 3tj and it won't start. the battery positive lead goes into a unit 2-3" away is this a starter realy or solenoid ? when you thumb the starter nothing happens, tho intermittently it was clicking now nothing. is this common ? it's a 1990. does anyone know about price/availability or does anyone have a used one laying around ? any help much appreciated thanks roy

Hi there, New member to Yamaha Owners Club : ) General question im hoping someone can help me with regarding a 1994 FZR600R Genesis Foxeye. Ive recently had the bike in bits for its winter clean as i had to ride it in the horrid weather every day for work, but now its ready for its clean and im driving around in my car My question... Well ive just taken the forks off and replaced the fork oil seals, BUT what is the EXACT amount of oil for each fork? I have a Haynes Manual but its useless because it doesnt have the amount for a FZR600R... So if anyone knows please email me or leave post! Plus, leave post let me know about your FZRs Thanks!

I tried to install a inline fuel filter because my tank shows a little rust in it, and I just had my carbs rebuilt. Does this have to be straight up and down because the bike would not run with it laying sideways?

Hi all. First of all I did run a search and couldnt find anything specific to this problem, so here goes. My good old 94 FZR 600R has after market indicators, The standard ones having been binned long before I got it. nothing fancy, no LEDs or anything. The left side works perfectly, blinking steadily as you would want it to. The right side doesnt so much blink as flickers, it is flashing that fast. Everything is the same on both sides, bulb ratings and so on. I just cant figure out why one side works fine and the other goes mad whenever you flick the indicator on. The plan is to put it thru its MOT and use it thru the summer but I cant see it passing in its current stat…

Hey guys! wondered if any of you fine fellow yamaha fans could shed a bit of light on a couple of things for me. I am currently starting out on a restoration project on a 1986 Yamaha RD350 F1 YPVS (uk bike) and need some detailed pics of a standard one in standard colours (mine should be white / red) - I have a couple of side-on pics in a book I've bought but need some of the top of the petrol tank and top of the tail piece etc - so I can hopefully get the painting right. I am replacing the spark plug caps and high tension wires on my XS bike. The service data sheet says that spark plug cap should have a resistance of 10kOhm resistance however the new caps I bought have a resistance of 5Kohm and I am having a problem finding the 10kohm caps. Any one know if there will be a problem using the 5kOhm resistance caps? The bike has CDI ignition. There was not a problem with the old caps and whe I measured them they were at about 6kohm.

Hello all, I am currently in the process of fixing up an old 75 Yamaha DT 175. I just recently got the bike running with redoing the gas tank, cleaning the carb, replacing the fuel line and the bike cranks right up and runs great while idling. When I start riding the and I go to accelerate the bike bogs down. I can gradually increase the speed but you have to find the sweet spot in the throttle to do that. Can anyone help me with this problem. I would love not to take this back to the shop. Thanks for all your help!

i want full wirin diagram of my fz400r and user manual

Hoping someone might be able to help with this one. Have an 07 xmax 125cc scooter. Great bike except knocking noise from front end. remove front mud gaurd and noise disapears. Original bolts were siezed so I drilled them out and repplaced them with s.steel bolts. Nothing on the gaurd is loose and there are no signs of rubbing. have even put rubber wasers between forks and gaurd and the knock is still there. Maybe someone else has had the same problem and found a solution. Cheers Bob

Hello all, Can some one help? I have seized rear brake on my FZS Fazer 600 and finding it very hard to find a another (mark 1 1998-2003 model). Now i have been told that i can fit other FZ brakes to it, is this true? if so, which one do i need to look for (eg. Fz1000, Fz750 etc) I would be very pleased if some one could help me, as its getting warmer now and my bike is stuck in the garage. Hi Guys Wondering if anyone might know this one. I was riding to work this morning and all of the sudden I noticed the oil light (next to the speedometer) was ON for about 3 seconds, I continued riding and about 1 minute after it came on again for a few seconds. I thought it might be the 2 stoke oil that was running low. To be honest it wasn't full but it looked like it had plenty of oil left. Luckily I had a bottle of 2T oil and filled it up. The oil light didn't seem to come on after that. Is the oil light coming ON and OFF a warning that the 2T oil is low or is it something else? Another really stupid question. Does anyone know how to replace the ignition points on a 1967 R1 to a modern electonic system?, Is there a company that sells a complete ignition set up? Could I use the Ignition set up from a newer Yamaha Banshee 350 Quad? THANKS

My front brakes do not move at all. Is ther any way to test the front calipers on my FJ1200 so I don't replace them to find out there is something else causing my problem.
