Hi guys I have purchased a servo ket for my 1999 DT125r. Upon inspection i cant find anywhere to plug the servo in? There is 1 spare connector but it only has 2 pins and the servos plug has 4 and a seperate single cable??? Any help will be great, but at a guess i reckon my loom must be different/older than the bike??? Alternatively if anyone knows how i can chop this into my loom to get it working i will do that Cheers, Mark

hi folks looking for help on my son-in-laws bike. its a '92 fzr600 american import. he bought it as a non-runner and got it sorted up ready for starting. i wasnt there but he said it fired up and ran for a while but when he gave it some revs it gave a bang and stopped. the cdi has burnt out on it (you can open it up, its not a sealed unit) and i was wondering if the extra revs passed too much current. any ideas? p.s. the work he done on it was not electrical and the wiring all seems fine, not hacked at thanks

Just finished getting the engine in my 1991 TZR125, had some fun with getting the fuel tap to stop letting fuel through on the 'OFF' position. I managed to get her to fire up for the first time since I bought her. The main problem is that it won't run for very long (10 secs at best) it then makes a loud crack like a christmas cracker and cuts out the next problem is that after setting the float height it still lets fuel out of the 2 pinkish overflow pipes and the float bowl drain pipe, can anyone tell me why its doing it or how to fix it please? desperate to get it sorted so i can ride it!

Hi, I've got a 2006 Yamaha YBR 125 which seems to randomly cut out whilst running. It seems to do it more so when it's humid out. In any gear, full throttle, high revs then you hear the air filter sucking a load of air in and it cuts out. Takes a while to start it up again. It's now got to the point where it's a lottery to whether it will start and also if it's going to cut out whilst riding. It's got a new air filter, spark plug etc. full tank of fuel. only done 8000 miles. Looking at the spark plug it's running very rich (black) and is usually quite wet (fuel). I've had the complete carb apart and nothing looks wrong. Played with the settings but nothing seems to …

Hi me again! its all about my dt175 this time(not my JAWA...ir my puch..lol) and i was wondering if there was anything i could do do arrange the shaft that holds the flywheel. The previous owner(stupid) stripped it, but i can still screw the nut on it to hold the flywheel but i cannot force to much. As a result, I already have broked 2 woodruff key(pain in the *** to get that litlle piece, mine is in imperial, so its a bit smaller than the original metric, causing a little lose when fitting the flywheel). Anyway, the woodruff key is not a problem anymore, since i have a bag of 100 of them but, i want to be able to tighen hard the nut to hold the flywheel. any idea? …

Bought myself another exhaust for the DT from ebay, a used 'Big One' brand expansion pipe, sold as light rust on the bend from the cylinder, when it arrived was relieved that this statement was true and light rust it was. So instead of dremelling the whole lot I decided to get one of them sand blaster things that I had recently seen at Aldi, so went out and spent £10.60 of my hard earned on this And stayed late at work to try it out, quite pleased with the result really, just did the front bit, will do the rest with Dremmel and rubbing down. Just thought I would post this because its another option of rust removal for not much expense,…

Hi everyone, I'm new to this club and new to Yamaha's so i hope someone can help me with a question i have. I've had my 99 R1 for about 4 weeks now but only rode it at night for the first time yesterday. Problem is the speedo doesn't light up. The rev counter dose and all the warning LED's work as they should but the digital speed display has no back lighting. Is this a common fault people have seen?? The bike has had angle eye light fitted into the headlights but this seems to have been done very well so don't think it would have affected anything. Any help would be great. Many thanks, Matt

I bought a Roadliner last year, rode it 4,200 miles and now the clutch is slipping and needs replacing. And no, the warranty does not cover this type of repair. Assuming that I learned something in my 20+ years of riding and that poor rider skills didn't cause this problem, what could have caused this type of wear?

New here and looking for a bit of help. I just got a non-running 1986 dt200 from my Brother in-law and have been going through it. The main problem, or so I thought was the oil injection system feeding too much oil. He struggled with it for a long time and couldn't be bothered anymore. I bypassed the injection system and will the mix the fuel for now to see if and how well it runs. Long story short, I discovered I also have little to no spark and am trying to determine why. Does anyone know what procedure and what specs I need to check the ignition coil? Also maybe some other tips or suggestions to trouble shoot it. He had a service manual for this but presently h…

Hi all, Sorry but I am trying to pick the experts brains again on the forum. Can I remove the oil pump side crank case without removing the oil pump? The oil pump screws are k*acke*d big time but so is the pipe from the pump to the carb. (The pipe that goes into the pressed in joint on the crank case) so I need to change this. My postman has been busy delivering parts for the bike but I have only started it for 15 second (brought it as a non runner) and have never ridden it since I have owned it. I would like to make sure that it starts and runs ok so I can tick some jobs off my list. It will be total rebuild eventually but not to original spec. It h…
