Can i found to my yamaha Dt125lc mk3?

My 125 currently uses a 14T front and 48T rear sprocket, and id like to change them to gain some top speed. How do i calculate what tooth sprockets i can go for?

I have a 82 seca 400RJ that was running fine the last time I shut her down which was approx 5 months ago. I finally uncovered her charged the batterey anwent to turn her over but I could not turn the throttle. Down at the carb it was like locked up any way I finally got the taken care of but when I turn her over it just makes a load tik in the solinoid. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks!

Hello, I have a SR125, she is old (K Reg), she has developed an annoying problem on longer than 5 mile journeys, when i get upto 50mph she suddenly slows down to 40mph then 1/2 mile or so later speeds up again, she starts first time everytime and will amble along quite nicley at 35-40, but part of my journey to work involves using dual carriageway and this sudden dip in speed has caused a few near misses. any ideas most welcome

Managed to drop my brand new YBR today practising U-turns! Only damage is that the RH mirror unit (ie from the hbar upwards) seems to have been knocked 90 degrees anti-clockwise, though it all screws in nice and tight and doesn't look damaged...have taken the unit off and re-attached it several times but it always ends up in the same place. I'm a mechanical newb but would like to fix this myself, rather than head back to the dealer so soon!

So it's time to adjust my valves, where's a good place to get the tool that holds down the spring and also where to get the shims? My other bikes have screw/nut design valves so this shim stuff is new to me. Thanks

My cat is fine at motorway/cruising speed and high revs but when hot going slow on low throatle it runs jerky like its miss firing any ideas.

There's a tube coming out of the top of my transmission that connects to the airbox, but what I'm curious about is what this is for. I just read that if you cool the transmission it works better? so maybe it circulates cool air into there? anyone have an insight on this?

Hi my aerox 50 has a good spark plenty of compression and fuel but will not fire up, whats wrong? is it sparking at the wrong time? what else could be wrong? hope someone here can help> thanks Ayjay

G/day all. Wondering if anybody can tell me the bolt spacing measurement or PCD for the front sprocket retainer on a SR 185. I am looking at fitting a 13 tooth sprocket on another bike and at this stage it looks as though a 13 tooth front and retainer for a SR 185 will fit without any modifications. Just want to confirm this measurement before I track down the parts. Thanks, Paul

Should this have any free play in it? When the bike is on the center stand and lift the rear wheel I can get some free play in the lower shock pivot pin. I have no idea if this is normal since my RZ and Ninja use a nut & bolt to connect the pieces together. Thanks

i recently bought a 1975 xs500 and am currently working on the carbs but i cant find a rebuild kit for this model. are there any other carb kits from diff models that i can use interchangeably? and i also noticed that most of the rebuild kits don't come with external hardware...ie screws and washers...is there any place i can find these? thanks

hi all i recently picked up another tzr 125 (f) for 75 notes and noticed that there is oil or a black sludge on top of the coolant in the expansion tank whats the cause of this ?? is it easy to fix ?? thanks pete

Anyone know the float hieght settings for a '84 XS400 Maxim? One side is 20mm and the other is 22mm but the manual wants to use an external method to measure, problem being I don't have the float nipples to test from on the bowls. Thanks

hi i have a 2001 y reg yamaha sr 125. ive had for over 2 years it has 20.000 miles on the clock. Was running ok but since yesterday had trouble starting it and when i adventurele do if you dont keep the choke on or the thorttle it cuts out when you ride along and you go to stop and pull the clutch in you have to keep the throttle on other wise it cuts out when you have ticking over . we have checked the petrol tank for any bit's and stripped the carb down and that look's ok . it spark's ok and we ve change the spark plug too . any help with suggestions to get back to norm will be much appreciated thankyou.

Is it worth ditching the airbox on my 87 FZ600 in favour of KN air filters?...the airbox lid is damaged and doent seal properly plus there a pain in the ass to get back onto the carbs. I need to replace the carb/engine inlet rubbers, i noticed only one air box rubber was actually fastened tight to the carbs the other 3 were barely covering the carb, no apparent gaps that i could see but no airtight seal either i would guess. I figure i would need to change the jets too anyone ever done this and know what size jets are required, also if it rains is that going to affect the bike too much. failing all that does anyone have a spare airbox for sale?

Hi there, i have a 99 r6 and want to neaten up the rear end. I have been told that the 2001, 2002 r6 undertray will fit by some and then by others that it wont. Can anyone shead some light and give me the correct answer? Also which aftermarket undertray make is the best to buy and has anybody got any? Tom

HI all. Due to a bad back I finally had to sell my R6 with a very heavy heart. Two years on I just had to have a road bike so I just bought a 2000 fazer 600r. I feel it is low geared it has the right sprockets on it, but has anyone changed theirs with any success I'm not looking for blistering acceleration but get rid of that feeling of wanting a sevnth gear. Can anyone also direct me to a good supplier of fazer parts in the UK and prefably online.

just bought a cat with 45k the gears have a whine in 3rd is this norm and for some reason the choke is not working properly, I can put it full on and the engine cuts out part on and it does nothing. Its anoying that I have to rev it till it can tick over on its own is there an obvious reason for this.

Hey, just wonder if anyone could help or nos why, when i come to my aerox in the morning after leaving it stand all night, i go to start the bike it fires then imediatly cuts out, then if you go to start the bike agen it just turns over and doesnt fire. however if you keep the bike turning over and over eventually it will fire up and run, as soon as the bike if fired it will fire strait up all the time. there is another issue with the bike if you are cruising at 50mph then drop the speed down to about 25-30 mph the bike takes ages to pick up agen :S im very confussed can anyone help, thanks scott
