Hi All I want to paint my 1980 DT250MX cylinder head as per factory colour (think it's satin black), now here's my question do I just buy some high temp paint like PJ1 and pop it in the oven to cure? can it really be that simple or I am I being simple! Will be taking off the old paint with paint stripper and wire brush.

Just ordered a set, can anyone offer any fitting advice? Thanks!

Hi I have xs 750 1979 , it is fitted with kand n style filters , bike runs like a pig when over 4000 rpm , bike had been stood for 15 years , I cleaned carbs out etc , have had ignition timing set but still a pig , any ideas ? Thanks Tat

can any one help.i fink my tps is playing up but am unsure. it starts ok but when i stop & switch off it will fire then cut out. its not all the time. mostly its ok.runs gr8 once started.it as cut out while moving usally at low rev &going down the gears.i,ve been told the short pazzo leavers i,ve got on can cause prob,s but i cant see how? i got the bike secondhand so i dont know if its ever been recalled.

Tacho not working, replaced tacho so can probably discount that being at fault. Does the tacho receive its pulse from an ignition coil or the CDI Unit? One of my coils has way too high secondary resistance so have ordered a new one, that should cure the rough running but I don't think that is the source of the tacho problem. Any ideas welcome Cheers Peter

hi all i have a r1 5pw and last night i noticted a knocking noise which seems to be coming from the engine area.i can feel the knocking through my handle bars and foot pegs.i can hear it best in 3rd gear at about 3500rpm but can also hear in other gears. i have been told it could be the drive chain but it does not sound if its comin from rear.has anyone had similar problems with theres please help me.

i have just bought a yamaha yp1 25r - 124cc, and i cant seem to get the seat open. does anyone know how to open the seat, id appreciate any help, thank you.

Turned my bike off, closed the gas line, and then a small gas leak (about a cup) dripped on the garage floor. There was a hissing sound as it did that. 12 hours later, no further gas leak. The tank is 1/2 full, and I had riden it about 25 miles before the leak. Any suggestions as to the cause? Thanks Dave V Star 1100 Classic 2000

My chain has recently come loose on my '02 Virago 250. I started noticing it after I stalled out accidentally while trying to start in second gear. It makes a weird squeaky noise while I´m coasting and downshifting. The bike still runs fine, but I worry that I'm doing more damage by continuing to ride. Do you think I just need to tighten the chain or could it be another problem? If it is just the chain, how do I tighten it?

hello My dt dies when i go in to gear, i got a new battery for it but it still does it. i was able to override the problem by gunning the revs then going into gear but now this wont work, which leads me to believe that it is the clutch, any insight or clarification would be a load of help as i am a bit of a noob. thnx

Hi folks, I am wondering to get a hypercahrger for my beauty but I don't really know how does it work (increases air flow into the carb maybe?). Could you please explain it to me? What effects does it have? Does it reduces engine life time? Thank you

Wondering if anyone can help. I picked up an xv 920, I have in mind to de-customise it. Is there an 18" back wheel with the same spoke pattern and shaft fitment or will the new spoked hubs shaft fitment work? Thanks

Ive recently purchased a Yamaha Aerox YQ50 2009 model. I am wanting to derestrict my moped and I am about to buy a new exhaust LEO VINCE ZX CHROME EXHAUST ( http://www.adrenalin-pedstop.co.uk/p/LEO-VINCE-ZX-CHROME-EXHAUST-FO-1400.aspx.) However i am not sure what else i will need to keep it running with a sports exhaust , i should think i will need new rollers but i have no clue what weight i will need , My mates have also said about 3 springs. If anyone could help me please post on this thread it will be very much appreciated Thanks Andy.

I've just bought a 1994 XJ900 F and it seems to be burning it's way through a lot of fuel. The bike seems to backfire a little when idling and sounds quite rough. Any suggestions welcome. Also is it normal for the bike to weave a bit during engine braking?

Right when I wahed my bike today the rear wheel has a bit of play when shaked (right side movement) Is it just the bushes I need replaced or is something else needed. I have Michelin Pilot Road 2's fitted 120 and 180 on rear, can I put on a 190 on the rear? will it handle different? When riding I can hear like a ping noise, only when riding and not when idling. Its a weird noise kinda like..sounds like its coming from the engine, dunno if its the spark plugs etc.. Riding 0-120+ seems ok no sluggish, or bogging down though. Best type of pads on this bike, are carbon lorraine any good? Any help on the above would be appreciated. Thanks
