    Hi I'm in the VSOC and one of our members has a very perplexing proglem. He has a Dragstar Trike. After being on a ride-out, after a while the clutch slips and doesn't drive the bike. If left to cool for half an hour, all is OK again. We have broached the possibility that the Oil is becoming too viscous and allowing the clutch to slip when the oil is too hot, and suggested maybe an oil cooler. I have asked if the bike ever had anything like slik50 put in - not to his knowledge. Any Ideas?

    After a few days of riding she has snapped which is not that much of an issue for me as the bike will run even better when i find one...i say..where would you find one? Cant source on on ebay as well as the internet shops i have looked in..throttle clutch and break cables seem to be the rage-the only one for a dtr on ebay is for an older version..suggestions would be valued cheers for your time-ross.

    Hi All I ave a dt250mx (1980) and need to change the crank seals, now I have never done this before or stripped an engine this far. So my questions are: How do I do it, is it just a matter of taking it apart and carefully noting the procedure and then putting it back together. Do I have to split the cases or can the be done from the outside. Ad last do I need any special tools. Oh and if any one has a step by step guide.........(think that's asking to much). Thanks an hope I don't sound to much of a muppet!!

    Hi There Everybody... We are restoring my 1984 Yam FJ1100 and need to repair or replace my vacuum fuel petcock an have been unable to find one or a kit to repair. Is there another model petcock that would work on it? Or does anybody know of a repair kit for the FJ1100? Thanks, Larry 330-936-6984

    This bike runs so rich it makes your eyes water within 15 seconds. The air filter is new. Both plugs are firing. The factory book shows no adjustment for air/fuel mixture. Surely syncing the carbs wouldn't fix the problem, would it? Any ideas before I tear into the carb to check float, etc.? Thanks in advance. Phil

    Hello, I'm a newbie. I'm looking for a YZF750R or YZR1000R motor to replace my blown motor. Or is it easier to just rebuild my old one and maybe put in a big bore kit. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    any advice apreciated - my 08 fazer which is just hovering on warranty expiration keeps showing warning lights as follows - coolant and engine management lights on constantly, immobiliser light comes on intermittently, (which stops me starting up engine of course)but this generally goes after a couple of attempts, display panel shows : error code ER1 - temperature H 1 degree C. back to yamaha dealer initially who diagnosed u/s voltage regulator and changed same, putting out all these warning lights but two weeks later they are all back. Any one with similar experience, I ride throughout year so had fair dose of rain, water penetration possible cause?

    I have a 1987 dt 125 which I am restoring, The engine fires easily and will run sweet for 30 seconds or so but then it very often bogs down, splutters, backfires lots and dies. The bike will not start or run using choke even from cold which leads me to beleive it is running rich, I have checked the (mikuni)carb settings and they are fine and I have replaced needle jet but still the problem persists. When it is ridden it lacks power and behaves as though the choke is on. I have noticed that the spark plug is fouling from the fuel and the bottom of the engine is collecting a lot of fuel. Although I have experience of car mechanics I am lacking in knowledge when it comes to …

    hi does anyone know what the resistance should be on a dt125lc mk 3 1987 pulse coil as i suspect this could be causing my bike to idle badly and backfire and foul spark plug and will not rev up. by the way the reading i have on mine is 340 k oms thanks

    I have just fitted a Clifford GP1000T Motorcycle Alarm / Immobiliser to my bike and i need to know which wire to connect the yellow wire The install for this wire is -- h17 yellow ignition input (+) 12 V Connect this wire to any ignition wire on the motorcycle that remains positive while the starter button is pressed. It will report on zone 6 if triggered when armed. I did this and when the alarm is not on and i turn the key to the on position the alarm goes off Any help will be good thanks

    Hello again all! o/ I'm back. Working on my new 1981 Yamaha Virago XV750, i like typing the whole thing out- sounds classy It's in fairly good shape for the most part, aside from someone sticking aftermarket led turn signals on it like it's a crotch rocket and the wiring needing a touch up. The problems i have are of course with the engine. I hauled it home in the back of the truck. Got it in the garage and took the tank off. Cleaned that out with some naval jelly cuz the filters were rust clogged. cleaned up the petcocks and got them operating the way their supposed to. and then i fired it up with some fresh gas. it ran, fast, then slow. 4k, 2k, 1.5k, 6k, 3k…

    Hi I collected a brand new XT125R yesterday and the speedo has stopped working the display is working fine but when moving the speed stays on 0 and the milage won't change any advice before i take it back to the dealers?

    Hello there, first post and am hoping you can help with a problem that i have that is worrying me. Fitted a new front, rear sprocket and a new DID chain on friday at mates garage. Since this i have noticed that from about 25mph upwards the bike has a front end wobble getting worse the faster you go (nothing on the front has been touched) yet the back end does not feel like it's wobbling. When i got the bike home i poped it onto the center stand and just let it tick over in first and had a look at the rear wheel.     I took my 2004 V-star to the Yamaha shop for service 3 weeks ago now, a couple days later they called asking me to track down air filters. I bought the bike used about 5 years ago and dont know what kind of custom things it has. Im having trouble finding the filters myself can anyone help. can someone help?? It has two filter....The Height is 2 1/8" (54mm), Outside Diameter is 3 15/16" (100mm), and inside diameter is 2 3/4" (70mm)

    ok so i just got a 1982 dt 125 i've never owned a dirt bike before. it starts fine. once i try to drive it i cant give it too much gas (almost none) or it will bog out and die unless i let the throttle out. i thought it was old gas and oil so i changed that and cleaned the carb out and it still does the same thing. i am out of ideas! any help is appreciated. thanks so much.

    bought 98 californian import its is a genuin 98 and has no tps..american market.. Been told by a good mechanic who spent alot of time with problem on this bike. He feels its sure its ecu after going just about everything with fuel,carbs,jetting, coils,extr..... extr..has anyone tried changing an ecu and will they work on different models..(think this is gonna be a nightmare)it starts fine runs fine with choke,then choke off runs like a dream for ten mins then misses like a pig at low revs. higher revs its fine but will stall at junctions once been running 15 mins...cheers Rich
