I bought a highway hawk sissy bar for my 125 dragstar off eBay, came nicely with instructions as to what side was what. I was trying to install today but the wouldn't go, my Allen bolts are just too small to go through the chrome stip and the metal brackets. Where so I get some longer ones from ?

  5. Hey peeps. I've got the chance of buying an '84 FJ1200 from a dealership my mate works at, it's got 46000 miles on it, new chain, tapered head bearings, fork seals, new pads and tyres all round and new pistons in the calipers, they're after £1k for it. Ideally I wanted a 1200, but if the 1100 is good for the price I'm not so fussed, I'm getting shot of everything else I have as I may be out of work for a while so it's likely to be my only mode of transport for the next year or so and I need it to be cheap to run/maintain and above all else reliable and simple. Any ex or current owners out there have any advice on what to look for on a bike this age?.

Having spent several hours cleaning my bike I thought now was a good time to post a picky or two of her. Pretty much stock apart from the Cobra slip ons, saddle bags, back rest for me as I'm an old git, USB charger, phone bracket and because I'm a short arse I've dropped end by 2.5 ".

I don't want a top box or bag i'm just after a small rack similar to the one on Honda XR125's just enough to attach my dinner/waterproofs ect don't like using a rucksack any distance also looked at bungy cording on to the back but it runs very close to the exhaust. If any one has made one could they also let me know i have metalwork & powdercoating facilites available to me also/ Appreciate any help Cheers Nigel

Found one for sale not far from me, wondered if anyone on here has any experience of them? It looks pretty sweet to me but I've only ever seen a few sketchy videos on YouTube and 1 other for sale. Would it be a worthwhile investment perhaps?

So I get in from work and was given a list of everything that had been done while I was at work and I had to admit the house was spotless. Only one job left and that was to cut the lawn. To which I politely replied 'sorry babe there's no petrol left in the can' She only suggested siphoning some out of the bike!!! Laughing, I said ''Course I 'kin will, just like you'd give up a chocolate brownie'! Storming out to work she said something to the affect of me using the exhaust pipe from now on! Anybody else think I may be getting lucky later tonight when she gets home??

More years ago than I care to remember when my daughter was 16 I bought her a twist and go so she could get to collage, the price of the bike included a days training and the CBT test but they would only deliver it to the training centre, unfortuantly she failed the test so I had to ride it home. I will never forget riding that thing, just about got to 30 flat out, no chance of accelerating out of trouble, I tell a couple of times it really put the shits up me. anyway after spending hours in the local sainsbury's car park teaching her how to ride and of course riding it back to the training centre she passed her CBT and I vowed never to go near one again.

Anyone using Continental Tyres may want to read this: http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news--general-news/continental-recalls-170000-tyres/25409.html Quote from above: "The recall, which Continental is coining the voluntary tyre exchange program, covers 170,000 tyres worldwide in sizes 120/70 ZR 17 and 120/70 R 17. The faulty rubber was sold for both OEM and replacement use between 2007 and 2014 - any tyres with DOT serial numbers between 1907 and 2614 are covered under the program."

Basically as we all know we are forever fighting our demons, my demon is back pain thus this demon is holding a spine. Next im having two soldiers fighting there demons along with a battle cross in memory of my friends who lost there battle. After that i will be having a flying demon dragging a tank through the sky to represent my dream job being ripped from my life. And the last thing im having done is the Angel Gabri…
