Valentino, how are you today? VR: “I’m fine, everything is ok, and this is the most important thing. I did not injure myself too much except for a big bump to the head. Last night I had a little headache but today I'm fine, I'm 100%. It was a real shame because before the race we made a change that would have helped me a lot; the bike was strong, I was going well, I had recovered the gap in the first few laps and I was there with the leading riders. I felt good and I am sure I could have made a good race, so it was a real shame to fall. In a way I'm almost glad because even though we had a difficult weekend on Sunday we were competitive and this was supposed to be a track…

Febvre, a former European Champion, has developed through three years in the FIM Motocross World Championship to emerge as a Grand Prix winner in 2014 and finish third in the MX2 standings; the highest classified athlete from a group who graduate to MXGP next season and the very top international stage. The former supermoto racer – he also won the prestigious Mettet Superbiker event two weeks ago - took his first GP podiums in 2013 and made fantastic progress in 2014 to embellish his reputation as one of the FIM series’ brightest young prospects. The 22 year old Frenchman is expected to form a promising bond with the YZ450FM that already shone in Van Horebeek’s hands …

Hey So I took the carb apart, replaced the O ring, the needle valve set and the gasket. I cleaned it up well with carburetor cleaner. Put it back together and now my bike start with choke and one kick. The thing is that the RPMs are really high and if I try to push the choke back in, the rpms get out of control. This doesn't make sense to me since I thought that when you pull the choke out is when you engage it and a richer mixture of gas goes in. For a moment I thought the accelerator cable was caught on something or too tight to I loosened it, but nothing. I tried playing with the air intake and the idle but no luck . And I followed the direction on the …

Peeps I has a problem, due to technical issues I am now having to re-enter (giggity) every password for all of my accounts for the first time in about three years. Yeah, slight problem with that, have no idea what my password is and the email account I used for registration has long since been deactivated... are there any users here who own an xj700 maxim, they are few and far between, its amazing how many people argue with me its not what i say it is, usually spouting off what they know it is/was built from even though they have never seen one before! i'm interested in what other people do with theirs, tips about looking after them that sort of thing.

I've had this on my list of things to do for a while now. Why? I'm not sure really! After all, is sitting on a motorway for miles on end ever really fun? And is it an enjoyable way of buggering up a set of tyres? Well the negatives aside, it was still rattling around my brain. So on Friday night after work, I found it on my mind again and without hesitation I set about preparing... : The route? Down the M6 and M5 to Exeter, A30 to Penzance, A394/A39/A390/A38 to Exeter, A30/A303/M3/M25/M20 to Folkstone, A260/A2/M2/Dartford Crossing/M25 to M1, then finally M1/M62/M60/M67. That would bring me about 50 miles over 1000 which is what they recommend in the rules. : T…

Got soaked to the bone today, I had almost forgotten about the rain with the decent summer we have had. It has got cold lately and it looks like winters on its way. I don't mind the cold but, the getting piss wet through annoys me. Better find my waterproofs.

Yesterday I thought I would take advantage of what's left of the warm sunny weather and took a ride out instead of working in my garden. I rode to box hill and instead of going straight into Rykers cafe I went to the top of the hill which is something that I haven't done in years. As soon as I parked I knew that I had made a mistake as I was on parked on a gravel slope. Sure enough when I came to leave I struggled to back out, my feet kept slipping on the gravel and it took me about ten minutes to get out by rocking the bike back an inch a time and holding it on the brake, when I finally got out I realised that two old boys had been watching my antics and found it most am…

10 months ago I went to my local Yam dealer for a battery for my 535 Virago and came out with my 1300 midnight star, I was a bit nervous to start with as its so much bigger and heavier than the 535 but didn't take too long to get used to it. I've just clocked up 2000 miles on it, none of those miles were commuting as I am a self employed gardener but were totally purely for pleasure and mostly in glorious sunny weather . Yes I have got wet a few times and discovered or should say re-discovered that a disadvantage of an open faced helmet is that when you get caught out in a hail storm, big hail stones can fucking hurt. My non biking friends just cannot understand why whe…

Hi all, I need some help I want to get into the above forum but I've tried and failed over the last 3 weeks. Is it still operating? If so..... Can anyone put me in touch with a moderator or administrator to help me? the Board Administrator contact button just doesn't work. Cheers. In the meantime does anyone know if UK TDR 250 barrels & pistons are a direct fit onto a french TDR 240 bottom end? Or is the crank throw or something else a problem? How can a 240 be identified by its frame and engine numbers? Is there a significant difference in performance for the 240? Thanks all

After rebuilding my stock standard Elsie I was a little disappointed it just won`t power wheelie thru the powerband no matter how much I ring its neck. Not comfortable with it as I prefer doing power wheelies (find them easier to control), but thought I would try slip the clutch in first to see what happens. WHOAAA..must say it surprized me how quick she reared up. Need sum more practice...
