Anyone using Continental Tyres may want to read this: http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news--general-news/continental-recalls-170000-tyres/25409.html Quote from above: "The recall, which Continental is coining the voluntary tyre exchange program, covers 170,000 tyres worldwide in sizes 120/70 ZR 17 and 120/70 R 17. The faulty rubber was sold for both OEM and replacement use between 2007 and 2014 - any tyres with DOT serial numbers between 1907 and 2614 are covered under the program."

Not sure if this has been posted already, but looks like Yamaha are developing a tourer based on the MT09 http://canadamotoguide.com/2014/08/13/yamaha-set-to-unveil-touring-version-of-fz-09/

Hey folks, Not been on for a while been busy doing non bike related stuff and on holiday etc. My biggest thing tho was getting my tattoo started which is going to be a full sleeve which is going to be a story of my journey through the Army. Basically as we all know we are forever fighting our demons, my demon is back pain thus this demon is holding a spine. Next im having two soldiers fighting there demons along with a battle cross in memory of my friends who lost there battle. After that i will be having a flying demon dragging a tank through the sky to represent my dream job being ripped from my life. And the last thing im having done is the Angel Gabri…

Hi all not sure if this is the right place for this please move if not. I have got myself an old twist and go to keep the miles down on the Midnight star ,the problem I have is the header pipe is starting to corrode ,I have tried to protect it by removing the loose rust and painting it with high temperature paint I have done this twice now and both times the paint has burnt off in a matter of days . The paint I used is Halfords own brand, am I doing something wrong ,Ive tried increasing the temperature gradually but it still burns of ,is there a better brand or is a downpipe just to hot for any paint. any suggestions appreciated . Cheers Dave

Hi guys, I've suddenly got no headlight nor speedo backlight, though the sidelight works just fine. I've replaced the fuse and installed a new bulb, with no luck. Is there a headlight relay? I've traced the wires back to a relay behind the rh sidepanel, but all the exploded diagrams I can find say that this is the side-stand relay(!) Help!

Hi - Can anyone please help? I am after a Certificate of Conformity for my 2005 Yamaha TDM900 in order to export to France. Should I be able to get one from Yamaha UK, free of charge? They have yet to respond to my email of yesterday. I hear that people seem to have some trouble getting these Certificates that in reality shouldn't be necessary as they originate in a European country... Many thanks for any help that anyone can give me. Jetty

I'm looking to put some apes on my bike, always liked the look. Now I'm thinking 16" not sure if I'll need risers to clear the tank ? My question is can you simply buy all the longer cables needed ? Or do I have to get them made up for me?

There's a new baby in my family. Not sure what I was thinking buying a brand new bike, but hey, at least the previous owner hasn't messed it up! I didn't think I wanted a bobber, but she's a dream to ride and I had to have her.

I moan at £10 for a trim and often do it myself - grade 1 or 0 all over. Cheap and easy to look after without helmet hair. I tried trimming the dog a couple of months back to save a bit if cash and missed bits here and there and shaved him elsewhere. So here's £35 worth of wash, cut and dry:

Hi all, Enjoying a ride up in the cotswolds recently a thought came to mind, PUNCTURE ! what if I get a puncture in the middle of nowhere, I've got breakdown and recovery etc but I am wondering what you lads or lasses would suggest as a " get you home / garage " type solution. From when I used to ride many years ago I seem to recall a can of foam type stuff ?? I could be dreaming tho. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions from you time served people. Many thanks, Inpar.

Had my ybr 125 3 months now, really enjoying it, but I'm mechanically useless, to the extent that I can't even work out how to remove the toolkit from its little box. I could probably yank it out but then might not be able to get it back in, without damaging the rubber holder thing. Also any tips on cleaning and basic maintenance welcome.
