Just bought a 96 Varigo 535 -low miles 5M did spend a few bucks on new tires and some carb work but need some advice about the distance between the shifter and the peg,,,I can get my work book in there but if I wear my Alpinstars the boot is to large to permit a comfortable fit -would the shifter have to be extended or at a different angle-most of the assemble is welded???

Back in the days of steam locomotives, the engineer was the prince of the engine and made a princely wage; and the fireman who broke his back shovelling coal into the firebox was down at the bottom of the pecking order, and was paid as such. On one particular engine that pulled the daily local freight train, the engineer was forever bumming a chaw of chewing tobacco from the fireman. Every day, after they had cleared the yards and had a good head of steam, the fireman would lean on his shovel, mop his brow and take a wad from his pack of "Red Man", whereupon the engineer would say, "Hey, let me have a dip." The fireman conspired to put an end to this: He arranged to have …

OK its blowing a gale outside, my hangover, brought on by low quality beer, is slowing me up and the new tyres I have just bought and fitted are great but I have managed to lose the wheel spindle nut and cannot reattach the front wheel. Im going for a beer. Does anybody know when the next Bike show in the South west is happening?

I was sitting in the front room this quiet sunday evening, when I heard the sound of a sports bike being revved, this is usually a sound that is music to my ears, but something was not right. I live at the end of a long cul-de-sac not ideal for top speed runs. When this bike (i think it was an R1 - moving too quickly to be exact) came hammering into the end of the close being ridden by a helmetless lune. He ran out of road so took to the pavement riding past my front door at about 30mph. He left the close after nearly totaling my neighbour and her small baby. If you are reading this Mr R1, then congratualtions, you are a great ambasidor for motorcycling and its mor…

first is terrible second just bad A young man walks onto the stage of Stars in their Eyes, on crutches, with a plaster cast from his feet to his hips. Matthew Kelly Introduces him as Simon. 'It's very brave of you to come out here,' says Matthew. 'Please tell the audience what happened?' 'Well' replies Simon 'about a year ago, I was driving with my uncle when we had a really bad accident. Unfortunately my uncle was killed outright but I survived. I was trapped in the car for six hours before I was eventually cut free.' 'The doctors had me in surgery for 12 hours but they couldn't save my legs.' 'That's terrible. But I see you have legs now. Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, The California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. …

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 25 WAYS TO IMPRESS YOUR GIRL 1. When she asks how she looks, shrug and say "could be better" this will keep her on her toes, and girls love that. 2. Never hold her hand. This can be interpreted as a sign of weakness (or if she grabs your hand squeeze hers really, really hard until she cries. This will impress her by showing her what a strong man you are.) 3. Once a month sneak up on her from behind and knock her over. Girls are like dogs. They love to be roughed up. 4. Call her in the middle of the night to ask if she's sleeping. If she is say "you better be" ,…

Went off into the middle of nowhere....heading towards Maria via Orce. The sky was blue....temps in the mid 30's.....and the roads (as always) were clear! It's about 40 miles to get there.....and wilderness wherever you look! This is not the type of place to break down, especially in this heat! However, when you ride a Yamaha you don't need to concern yourself with things like that! The town of Orce is halfway to Maria, so I parked up on a hill overlooking the town! It was hot! And here's some views overlooking the town..... Then down to Maria, a couple of minutes to cool down....and off I …

....... I'm a Welshman living in Spain! In the town of Huescar in Granada, Andalucia to be precise. And a mate of mine from Essex made the trip down! Dellboy! He rode down through France....stayed in the Pyrenees for a few days (where he witnessed a Dutch guy on a 1200GS writing it off) and then motored down to Denia near Benidorm. We arranged to meet up in Cartagena in the Murcia province, which is a round trip of about 250 miles for each of us. I was out early (8.30am) before the heat kicked in..... .....and 2 hours later I got to the harbour in Cartagena, with the submarine as the meeting point. Del was already there.…

Scientists have discovered that lager contains trace quantities of female hormones - something to do with the part of the plant that the hops are picked from. So someone did an experiment to determine the effect of this on the male... They took ten male volunteers, and got them each to drink eight pints of lager in quick succession. At the end of the test, it was found that they were all talking complete bollocks, and couldn't drive.

This test is based on how cool you were at school and what crowd you ran with, etc., but it's still pretty accurate by today's standards. You may want to send it to your friends to see if they've changed. LET'S SEE, ARE YOU STILL A COOL PERSON?
