I know most of us here are expeienced rideres etc and aware of the dangers of motorcycling but please be careful out there everyone, this comes about as i ws returning home from a shopping trip with the missus on monday and came upon a fatal accident involving a bike. it looked as though the rider had taken the bend too fast and ploughed into the side on an oncoming car, Passing the scene again yesterday the police were searching the area high up the hedge for something. It has made me think this ws not a R1 or anyother plastic rocket it was a big scooter, it would also appar the rider was only wearing at shirt and shorts, so please be careful and if yuo wanna go like …

Extracted from SW bikers A guy in a restaurant ordered squid and the waiter took him to a large tank in the corner to choose one. After studying all the squid in the tank he settled on a small green one in the corner with a moustache, the thing was obviously frightened probably knowing why he was there. The waiter took the sqid from the tank into the kitchen where Gervais the chef was waiting and gave him the order. Gervais placed the quivvering squid on the table and lifted the large mallet high to strike down on the poor creature, but as he did he noticed a tear running from the squid's eye. For the first time ever Gervais suffered an attack of concience burtsi…

Hi, im a relative newb, ive been riding for over a year now, and have recently got an SR125 SE. Ive had to change the engine for a newer one, as it decided to drop one of its valves in to the barel. The Newer engine is off of a 97 bike, and it is so far running well (ish). There is one problem though, when I come off the throtle in any gear above 3rd, the power will go compleatly, and the engine dies (as in no fuel being combusted), or when I give her a little throtle, she will sometimes become very laboured in reving, and will almost stall, or die (in neutral). It only seems to hapen when the engine is warm/hot. I think it could be the carb, or an air leak in to…

Well Cap'n baited the hook & I bit it! There's been sooo many great racers since the conception of GP's in 1949..... My Top 10 looks something like this.... 1) Difficult one to nail down........kid of a toss up between Jarno Sarrinen & Rossi 2) Agostini 3) Mike the Bike Hailwood 4) Kenny Roberts Sr. 5) Eddie Lawson 6) Fast Freddie Spencer 7) John Surtees 8) John Kocinski (Weird dude but 1 Helluva Rider!) 9) Kevin Schwantz 10) Barry Sheene I can think of more but there's NO room left on the list! So, What's your Top 10 list look like?

Has anyone else tried to buy a "headlight lens cover" from a git selling them on E-bay??? I saw a "Thundercat headlight cover-any colour...with all fittings" advertised for "buy it now" £18.99. As my 'cat has orange in its colour scheme, and I've just fitted an amber double bubble, I ordered an amber headlight cover. BUT...when it came, the fixing pads are WHITE, and as you can obviously see them through the ( again obviously ) transparent lens cover it looks shocking. I contacted the seller and politely asked for fixings in a suitable colur, but he refused saying "they're fine". I replied saying the whole idea of a coloured lens cover is to…

Hi there i thought i would introduce myself to you all. I have a D reg Yamaha RXS 100 that is in a bit of a state at the moment after beeing stood for a long time. The bike has only done 7k & runs very well with a substitute washing up liquid petrol tank. Petrol tank resembles something you would strain sundays veg with. The front & rear mudguards are see through. The clutch will not release when lever pressed in. Battery was very dead and bone dry. Tyres have plenty of tread & sidewalls seem ok too , But aim to replace. Seat surprisingly has no rips or tears . I look forward to chatting to some of you whilst i find parts and rebuild…

This time without getting lost, and without a Beemer! Cos I took this one! Same old thing during the Summer months.....out by 10am and back by 2pm. Cos 2-5 is mucho calor bebe! First, it was across to Puedla de Don Fadrique and then up the infamous Santiago road with 25 miles of narrow twisties. Then a stop for coffee in Santiago..... Great views all around too! Then back on the road....it's always deserted! Then mile after mile through the mountain roads! You might think this would be a good place to go offroad....but I wouldn't risk it! Why? Am I worried about getting th…

Hello, After my bike's 600 mile service, the clock is nearly reading 1500 miles. I think it's time to clean and lube my chain but I've never done it before, can someone post some tips on how to do this? I'm thinking of using a can of WD-40 with a rag to clean the chain and then spray some Wurth Dry Lube on it which I've bought the other day. Also, I don't have a stand for my bike so what's the best way in doing this on my own?

Scenario: You are riding your bike at a constant speed. On your left side is a valley and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same size as your bike and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also travelling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation? Page down - this cracked me up! Answer: Get off the children's Merry-Go-Round, you're…
