hello everyone and a very xmas.... have just joined as the posts i have read have persuaded me to join. some very funny!!! anyway, i own and love a 2002 r6 and ride it all year round. have owned it since she was delivered to me 4 years ago with only ten miles on the clock, and still love it now... have fitted blue flame exhaust(proper race can, not the twin port ones you get now) r and g bungs and a black double screen... lots more to come though.... wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year...

Why? Why me? I am trying to sell a bike at the moment, not the best time of year to sell a bike, but its a winter bike - originally bought for the wife. Now we are with sprog its surplus to requirements. So why do I only get calls from fuggin' idiots? I have nearly completed the restoration of my 1970 BSA and need to replace just one more part, the turn indicator switch. The bike did not come with turn signals and I retrofitted a set of Yamahas and replaced the Lucas horn/dip switch with a Yamaha horn/dip/turn indicator switch. This was about 1975 or earlier. Since I was working with a parts guy I have no idea what model or year bike the switch came from and without it I cannot get a part number. The switch is marked "Yamaha, YHA 203" on the underside. If anyone has a vintage bike with that switch I would greatly appreciate the model and year. Thanks.

Hi all, Just thought i would introduce myself. Im Matt and im 22 from Ipswich in England. Since ive been 17 ive had a full bike license but never put it to good use apart from a Cagiva Planet 125 which i had to sell to get my car. Now i have been through uni and got myself a job i felt it was about time i got back on bikes and as ive always loved R6's i though i would get myself one!! So now i have 2 toys a car and a bike! Dear Abbey, I've never written to you before but I hope you can help me with a really crucial decision ! I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs are there, the phone rings but if I answer the caller hangs up etc. My wife has also been going out with the girls a lot more recently although when I ask their names, she just says " Oh you know, just the girls from work...you dont know them " I always stay awake at night when she is out to look out for her taxi dropping her off but she always gets out at the top of the street !!! I have a 2001 R1. I have got dunlops on it at the moment, 208 gp on the front and a 209 qualifier on the back. I am thinking of changing them to either metzeler racetec, rennsport or bridgestone BT002. I want to do a couple of track days next year, but mostly i'll use them for fairly fast road use. If you have used any of these tyres or have them on your bike i would be pleased to have your opinion, thanks.

hello, i just signed up for this and I'm pretty new at the whole forum thing. i have a 2006 yzf 600r and i was wondering if i was to order an after market exhaust from a yzf R6 or R1 in the same year would it bolt on to my bike being that they are somewhat of the same bikes. I know F**K all about engines and how they work but the time has come when my bike with 17,000 miles is making some noises. I have been told by (Experts) other riders, that it could be my cam chain tensioner, and if I change that, then I should get the head skimmed, and the valves and stem seals done. what the F**k are they on about ????? Is it worth it ? who should I go to ? the bike is a 2000 model with Ram air, hindle full system and a few bolt on's, dyno tested at 160 bhp at the rear wheel with 90psi torque. basically its a bloody fast toy and I'm off to europe on a road trip next year. If anyone can help. I have aquired a 100cc two stroke twin which i belive to be from the late 60's. I have looked to find the model. It has a black and crome tank with rubber knee pads ,and anumber plate on te frount mud gard. Any help out there?
