I have nearly completed the restoration of my 1970 BSA and need to replace just one more part, the turn indicator switch. The bike did not come with turn signals and I retrofitted a set of Yamahas and replaced the Lucas horn/dip switch with a Yamaha horn/dip/turn indicator switch. This was about 1975 or earlier. Since I was working with a parts guy I have no idea what model or year bike the switch came from and without it I cannot get a part number. The switch is marked "Yamaha, YHA 203" on the underside. If anyone has a vintage bike with that switch I would greatly appreciate the model and year. Thanks.

  4. Dear Abbey, I've never written to you before but I hope you can help me with a really crucial decision ! I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs are there, the phone rings but if I answer the caller hangs up etc. My wife has also been going out with the girls a lot more recently although when I ask their names, she just says " Oh you know, just the girls from work...you dont know them " I always stay awake at night when she is out to look out for her taxi dropping her off but she always gets out at the top of the street !!! I havent approached her with these thoughts as I think that deep down I really dont want…

I have a 2001 R1. I have got dunlops on it at the moment, 208 gp on the front and a 209 qualifier on the back. I am thinking of changing them to either metzeler racetec, rennsport or bridgestone BT002. I want to do a couple of track days next year, but mostly i'll use them for fairly fast road use. If you have used any of these tyres or have them on your bike i would be pleased to have your opinion, thanks.

I know F**K all about engines and how they work but the time has come when my bike with 17,000 miles is making some noises. I have been told by (Experts) other riders, that it could be my cam chain tensioner, and if I change that, then I should get the head skimmed, and the valves and stem seals done. what the F**k are they on about ????? Is it worth it ? who should I go to ? the bike is a 2000 model with Ram air, hindle full system and a few bolt on's, dyno tested at 160 bhp at the rear wheel with 90psi torque. basically its a bloody fast toy and I'm off to europe on a road trip next year. I'd like to see what extra power, if any I can find, so …

Seems like the powers that be want to bring in speed limiters and other things to take some of the control of bikes out of the riders hands, not good i think, if you object please sign the mulhouse decleration http://campaign.publicaffairsbriefing.co.u...1f-8f18b73ecd92 A clip from the MAG website EVSC - ISA - No To Throttle Control - No To Control MAG re launches its 2001 campaign to oppose the compulsory fitment to privately owned vehicles of any device designed to arbitrarily remove control from the driver to remote operation and asks all vehicle users to sign the Mulhouse Declaration. Hi all, Iv got an R1 2001 with a harris high rise race can on it, but still got the normal headers with the exup valve. I have seen a set of micron full race headers and link pipe for sale, but im not sure if my harris can would fit as it has a long link pipe on it. It has been dyno jetted and has a K&N fillter fitted, i was thinking of taking the exup valve out to see if it makes any differents, to save me getting race headers. On the dyno it made 151 bhp on the crank and 138 on the back wheel. Has anyone taken the exup valve out , if so how much (if any) differance did it make. Your input would be very useful to me, ta, Tonyj

Hi. I wrecked my brand new 2006 R6 learning to ride it. To keep a long story short, I'm a huge idiot who made a 10,000 mistake. I can't take pictures detailing the damage yet, but I can describe a bit of the damage. The front end of the frame snapped off that connected the front wheel/handle bars to the bike and the windshield and side view mirrors are non existent. The middle and rear end of the body is mainly intact, including the engine. The only major damage to the rest of the bike/engine (aside from the plastic flimsy molding) it is a dent in my headers and I believe the oil pan was ripped open. The engine had about 10 miles total on it. I can either try …

hi, unfortunaitly, i have purchased a kwak. ive just run it home (helston, cornwall) from Llandrindod wells in wales (300 miles) on the run, i heard no abnormal noises. when i got home, it was run arround (priety aggressivly i might say ) and once again i heard no problems. when i got home, no abnormal noises. ive left it to cool down for 1 hour, and ive just started it up (because i love the fact that ive now got a 500, instead of 125, and i love the noise) and to my horror, i hear a mild to loud tapping noise from the cylender head at arround 1500 rpm above and below that rpm, the noise goes, but im very tentative to take her out again, seen as my SR's …
