Jsu taken delivery of a brand new FZS, first bike in 25 years! Absolutely awesome - BUT. I am 6' 3" and am surprise by the buffeting from the wind at anything over 80. Anyone tried an alternative to the standard screen and if so what do you think of it? I notice there is a factory aftermarket screen with the curvy top (whats the proper name for it) does it do the biz as far as wind is concerned?

Just wondered if there are any 2006 R6 owners on here. Id be interested to find out bout what they think. Good points/bad points. Do you ride it aggressively to get it maxed??

Hi all thought i would add abit on here me and a few mates went for a rideout.Left on friday 9th came back yesterday and plodded along at our on pace was great went from Lowestoft to the yorkshire moors over the humber bridge what a view then just took the coast roads back and 600 miles later we were back home.The weather was brilliant couldnt have been any better.Mate has a few pics and ill add some on later when i get them.Loads of bikes about and if any of you passed us on the moors (we were doing 40mph as sight seeing) then hi as most did pass us and some on the bends bloody mad .So just to finish off great weekend,great weather,on bike and no wife and kids can it g…

Been doing them since last Friday going home from work and it's really smooth! I only do them when accelerating hard though, as I tried to do them while going at normal speed and the gears just doesn't want to go in. So if I'm not accelerating hard doing town riding and stuff, then I use the clutch to shift. Also, I've been blipping the throttle when shifting down too, works really well especially when it's wet as it stops your back end from fish tailing when their's too much touque in a lower gear shifting down. Do you guys do this? And is Clutchless upshifts OK for my bike, it seems a lot smoother than shifting up using the clutch.......so I guess it…

A deal was done today, and the Beemer leaves the building next Wenesday! It's being part exed for a brand new bike. I can't knock the Beemer, it used no oil and never missed a beat. The only minor glitch was the brake problems, and a defective throttle linkage and horn which was replaced today. All FOC. It may have run forever, it may explode tomorrow. Who knows? And once the warranty expires in a few months I'd be footing the bill for potentially very expensive parts, and extortionate BMW labour charges. Hi all! I am wondering whether or not to get an SZR 660. Trouble is I dont know anyone that has one, or of any locally, as a few people that have reviewed and tested these bikes say they are best suited for people of 5 feet 10 inches or less. Is this true? (I am 5'11") It seems to fit my 'perfect bike' criteria(though it probably not perfect), and I am leaning towards getting one. I have yet to see one in the flesh! Help!!! I will sacrifice my too perfect(boring) vfr750 for one, if I can.

We were riding superbike that was illegal before 2002. because of the license plate. Some Taiwanese said"riding superbike in Taiwan is luxurious!" It meant we usually must pay more a lot of money to buy them than the other countries of riders. I've come on here to confess a terrible sin that I am about to commit. I accept that I will be ostracised for this and also that I deserve it. I will shortly be parting company with my R6 and replacing it with a 2006 Kawasaki ZX6R. On the plus side my mate's bought my R6 so at least I know it's going to a good home.

Need help Any of you R6 owners experienced problems maintaining a constant speed,eg 60mph ? My bike seems to spike/surge when i try to, it seems to me as if its missing but have just had a service and the bike dealer said its common with the R6. The bike is very smooth when accelerating but maintaing a constant is impossible without power surges, any suggestions would be f*@king brilliant!!!

Hi does any one know what the small black relay on my XT600e, at the side of the battery just above the swinging arm is? and if so what does it actually do and can i safely put a similar one in is place as mine has been destroyed by my chain. Thanks, Sean
