Guys/Girls, I really want to buy some Vance and Hines Cruzers for my 2004 XVS650A Dragstar classic to get rid of the wet fart noise my stock pipes manage... but I dont seem to be able to find anywhere in the UK that has them in stock. I have to admit I'm also a little confused about which ones fit an 04 classic if I'm honest! :S Any help / advice would be great. Got a lot of help with my last question and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Cheers! Rich

Hey, I am trying to find out the name of a piece of plastic on my bike so that I can buy a replacement for it. Unfortunately I'm new to all this and so I haven't a clue! On the following image it is the bit of black plastic that the indicator is attached to, runs from under the center of the headlight to somewhere just behind the indicator. Left hand side I am after. Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks, Dave

Hello! I'm brand new to the website and forum and I already have a question! My 2001 VStar 650 is in the shop getting new tires and fork dust seals. A friend in TN is sending me a Memphis Shades windshield but no mounting hardware. I need to order the hardware but there is a difference between the Classic and Custom and I don't know which one is my bike (the manual is on the bike). Is there an easy way to tell which model is mine? I searched the 'net for VIN number decoders but didn't find how the VIN will tell me which bike I have. The VIN is JYAVM01E51A034110 if that helps. I'm glad to be here and I look forward to spending some time here and on the road. …

Read this in the Motor cycle news and was left with a lump in my leather pants throat, thought it should be shared, the tome that is-not the lump in my,,,,,well,,,you get it. (ahem) One could be forgiven for dubbing ‘refueling’ as the most uninvolving element to motorcycling (I won’t say boring, physics proves this impossible when bikes are involved). Sure, you have to stand and watch the counter with a steady hand, and remember to bring the money to pay with. But in comparison to say, normal riding, it isn’t as demanding. Those who ride will know what I’m talking about. The Zen like state of oneness one acquires when riding is, astounding. Anyway! the p…

Hello all, Looking for a Yamaha expert on wheels, can anyone tell which Yamaha bike these wheels are from. Both 17 inch, front 3.00 and rear 3.50 wide. This seems to be the standard colour and they are on a 1980 Moto Martin. http://www.photobox.co.uk/slideshow?album_...o_id=1898623397 Thanks Goss

Hi all, Im a noob to biking, and I was wondering what you can modify on bikes, besides obvious things like engine mods and resprays? Ive seen a few custom jobs on here that look really nice but really dont know what they've done. Can you get any carbon fibre goodies? Maybe different wheels or farings? I dont want my bike looking like some chav's driven it through halfords, but want it to stand out a bit from standard.

maybe thats a stupid topic to start on a bike forum, but I hate driving cars! No just getting stuck in traffic, but the actual process of driving those big metal boxes around town feels like trying to manoeuvre a very big thing down a very small passage (insert smutty remark here lol). In contrast when I'm on my bike I feel safe, i have a great field of vision, I'm able to anticipate other road users, can nip through the gaps that cars get stuck in and i love every single mile. When I jump back in the car I'm nervous and to be honest feel completely useless behind the wheel! Its probably a case of inexperience, I passed my test years ago but haven't driven regularly since…

Well, the FZR is gone :-( Was a reluctant sale but had to go to boost the finances due to work being slow. So does that mean i'm now a forum reject seeing i dont own a Yam at the min? Would really like a Thundercat or Ace as next bike but will see what comes my way in few months. In meantime, my biking is limited to borrowin my dad's R1100RS beemer OR this..... Great fun to ride, just dont try to get your knee down! Reckon it'd still pass Foamy.....

Got hold of a lovely TDR 250, great bodywork really looked after, ( as far as washing and polishing goes). Brake fluid like 3 day old coffee, OVER 2L of transmission oil in the box (1L req, i thought it would never stop as i only had a small bowl) that was black, throttle cable, clutch cable, oil pump, chain, lever positions, gear change anti rattle shim missing, squeaky brakes, ancient plugs badly gapped. Spent all Sunday sorting that little lot, just waiting on the tyres now they are in Wed/TH they are aincient (sidewalls are starting to crack). It goes a LOT better for the work tho. When will people realise these things don't maintain themselves AND…
