Hi, I have bought a 91 FZR 600 that has been prepped for the track. I need to fix the indicators on for the MOT. The indicator wiring has been taped up and I have found both the rear wiring and the front right side. But for the life of me I can't find the left side. I have stripped all the tape off to no avail. At the rear the wiring is green and black then brown and black. In the front for the right hand side the wiring is green and black. For the left side i have found on connector (green/blue), but no other. There is a 'male' block connector on its own with brown, black and red wire's going into it. Can someone help with the wiring of the left/front side indicator. …

New to the forum (lurked for a bit) so i thought i should introduce myself. Mad scientist, mad man, general bodger.. you get the picture Currently learning bikes (at 27 ) on an inherited honduh 90, but i've always wanted a trial-ped, particularly DT50 MX's from the 80s. Just always liked them, whereas i do like.. more usual steeds, it's that bike that i've wanted since i was a kid... big wheel model? Had a project idea to make one a superb commuter type machine, but also keep its green-lane potential. I'm mechanically good, so intend to do all my own work and i'm never happy with anything which is entirely standard as the manufacturer cut-corner-built it…

Hi Guys, got my motorbike bug back but not in a situation where I can buy the bike I want WR 250 or 400. So i decided to go back to mum and dads and dig out the old IT 175. I have it in bits just waiting on a flywheel puller this afternoon. From memory (been about 10yrs) it kept jumping out of 2nd gear. Once apart what should I look for.??? Also where the exhaust attaches to the cylinder head is very loose, is there something i can add in there like a heat proof putty type substance to help get a better seal as when water splashes up there it ran very rough for a while. As i pull it down i may need to ask a few more questions. Thanks Bruce

hi, i am hoping to purchase a second hand motad 2-2 exuast system to replace the awfull stock one on my TDM850 3DV ('92 i think), i have been given conflicting information by several dealers concerning whether these exhausts will fit the earlier models (mine) as well as the post '96 models... anybody know..... cheers- mat

Hi all, My problem is exactly as the title really. The YBR125 coughs and splutters when the throttle is quickly opened from fully closed - if you do it more slowly though it is not a problem. Do this too quickly and the engine dies completely / stops dead. Idling speed is fine. I've cleaned the spark plug and this seems fine. Could it be the carburetor / air intake that needs cleaning or is it perhaps that the engine cope with a large air intake do you think? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

have you seen the big guy at the barn selling his tyre gunk stuff,£25-£45 quid a pop. suppose you get a nail in your tyre ,the gunk fills the peirce and saves you pushing your hack ,good.BUT what if a screw goes in i would imagine it will pull out the rubber in the thread of the screw ,now will his spunky stuff fill that gap i dont think it would ,and out of nine punctures ive had ,seven were screws , one was a blow out ,and one, yes it was a nail.so is it worth it

My son bent his forks on his little FS1se 50cc chop, well an off duty traffic cop ran into him - coppers fault as always of course, and well Im stumped. I cant suss out how to unassemble them. Taken top cap off and there appears to nothing else to loosen remove just one big pull to seperate fork leg and stantion. Anyone know if the fork legs are the same as another model, the stantions are ok forks bent and to be honest a little rough so replacement ones would be benefitial although current ones could be straightned and still pass MOT. hello, i have just made an ebay purchase of a tdm850 3vd on a 96 plate, however i know that this is too late so it must have sat around for some years before being registered, i think it may be a 92... any ideas? the main reason i want to know is because i NEED a replacement exhaust as soon as possible (the stock doesnt do the engine any justice) so have to check out the compatibility with other years. there is a potential art race exhaust on ebay for the 2000 model but will it fit??? so if anyone can help or knows of an exhaust please let me know. many thanks- mat

I've just got my hands on a Yamaha YZF-R125 http://hellforleathermagazine.com/yzf-R125.jpg ^ that exact model and colour-scheme I've been looking into an aftermarket exhaust, thinking maybe the Remus? What would people recommend, baring in mind i am riding on a provisional license and CBT so i cannot exceed the 125cc (or the bhp limit moreso).

Hi all, I'm a newbie to the forum and I have a couple of questions relating to my XVS1100a I've had for six months. The bike is a 2004 Custom and I love it, but I don't love the soft suspension. I'm thinking of putting some progressive fork springs in, but would like to hear from anyone who has done it and what was the outcome. Next question relates to adjusting the preload on the rear shock, how is this done easily? Thanks
