Well hello one and all! My name is Bex, I passed my test in June and have recently bought an '09 xj6n in white. Very nice it is too 'cept i dropped it on my first attempt at riding hey ho...very little damage sustained so not too sad. Anywho, I'm very new to the world of biking as I got into it thru my now ex boyfriend (who decided to dump me the week before I got the bike) so I need some new biker buddies! Also new to the world of forums soooo yep, anyone who would like to say hello pls feel free!

Hey there ppl, im new in here, dont know why i never searched for this forum before but im glad i did, iv got an xj600 diversion which is currently about 95% finished, been doin some home made fighter parts to some success and its turned out to be more of a restoration project, iv had the bike for 5yrs and only benn on it for 6months due to being nabbed by the boys in blue 4.6 yrs ago in Edinburgh with no license, tax, mot, ins etc, bit silly but i paid a large expensive price for it and am in the process of savin for my test, bein a single dad that aint easy but i shall do it, bit long winded this intro but thats what ppl deprivation does to you, talk to myself for hours…

Hi, i have just bought a sr125. It's my second bike and im coming from a sachs xtc supersport. I havent got the bike yet but bought it for 400 no tax or mot and have it booked in this saturday with my local garage. Here is a pic It has covered just 1066 miles and is a 1999 reg, and was apparently dry stored for 7 years. Is there anything i should do or check as soon as i get it? Im also looking to get a visor or screen for the front. Just a small clear one, teardrop in shape. Has anyone done this modification. Also are the bikes restricted at all, obviously i know its not going to be lightning fast but every little helps.

in my haste to craft a new nose cone and arse end from much larger bikes, ive gone and buggered meself up. im carrying way to much weigth on the front end of me little tezzer (granted ive got stage 2 185cc head etc so it still pulls, but im worried about handling, any1 got any tips on sorting this problem b4 the bike gets back on te road? maybe fzr400 fronty forks? maybe a larger set of wheels (not sure about this it involves geomoetry and the thing in school we all swore we wouldnt need! trigonometry) so if any1 got a firm understanding of bike balance and setup i wanna pick there brains! thankis for reading Ryan

Have only just noticed a wee Ad' screen at the bottom of the YOC>General area>, its for a dating agency called www.plentyoffish.com, lmao, it does'nt somehow conjure up nice images?, I've nothing against corporate advertising but I'm afraid the name 'plentyoffish' seems a little like 'too much information' this kind of thing just leaves a bad taste in your mouth !

  15. Woke up this morning, had to move my brothers car from the driveway, then my younger Bro's car, (as they're both staying over for a while) then open the garage, get the bike out - (Just as well as I had turned it around yesterday) wheeled it down the driveway and fired it up, no probs, starts like a dream helmet on, ready to go on goes my left glove, on goes the right glove - nearly - nearly, owch... my finger,, (the lining in the glove was partially inside out) fumbling like no tomorrow - bikes starts to rev a bit high - so in goes the chalk, visor steams up, "come on you b"££$$£%" by this time - me = fuming... I took my glove…

Hi all. First post. Thanks in advance for any advice given. 2 weeks ago I purchased a lovely 2005 yamaha xvs650 from a dealer. It has 3,500 mileson it and apparentley 1 owner from new. I just got the dvla registration document through the post today and it says the bike has had 4 previous owners. Could this be a dvla mistake? Or did the dealer mis-sell the bike? Eitherway that affects the value or my bike? 4 owners is a lot more than 1, and kinda worrying since it has such low milage aswell. Only ridden it up n down road few rimes, seems all fine, got it booked in for m.o.t etc tomorow. Not sure what to do really. Or what I'm asking for. Guess I'm just worrie…

I've just bought 3 XS500's for about 500$, I don't know if it's too much money, but for now I think the winter will be over soon, when I start to get them build together again, they are all laying in boxes only one is part fittet together again, but I have to dismantle it, so the bike gets a new start. My son did se the pictures of the bikes and his comment was: That's no bike it has no seat and is ugly. This is the one I showed him. I didn't dare to show him this one.
