Hey peeps, its been a while , Ive recently been in contact with another person from Benson who has a beige/tan coloured XVS125 in storage on the base, not sure exactly what age it is but i would guess it is around '03 age, with 7,000 miles on the clock, good chrome and paint but in need of a good dust off and a service as it has been sat in storage for 3 years now, it also has a luggage set which is stored indoors now, the story goes that the lady i spoke to bought it from the UK, moved over to aldergrove in northern ireland, then moved back to the UK and had to re-register it because it had a NI plate, however she bought a bigger bike and couldnt be bothered wi…

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could offer a little help on this. I have a 2001 Virago 250, and it only has spark intermittently. When it starts, it starts right up no problem and runs great. When it doesn't, it doesn't get spark and will turn over without a fire until the battery dies. It doesn't seem to change due to moisture or temperature either. I live right by the beach, and it does corrode do to the salty air, so I was wondering what would be the first thing you would check? I'm unfamiliar with the ignition system on this bike, and my online manual was on a different computer that crashed. I have already repaired the starter switch and foot brake light swit…

Hey peeps, The XJ finally died on me last night, coming back from newbury along the A4 with a chinese takeaway in the tankbag, just about got into hungerford when the power died and it would not idle, sounded like it was struggling to run, possibly starved of fuel?, it died when pulling away from a roundabout, after i had pushed it round the corner to a petrol station and swore at it a bit it started and began to run correctly. Im going to do a plug chop on it today and see how that goes, its running a motad 4-into-1 with more holes in it than a sieve, thats the only engine mod on it as far as im aware so, why has this happened, what has caused this to happen and h…

Been having my daily trawl through the local bikes for sale - spotted a foxeye fzr600 for sale. It's been reducing in price week by week & is now down to £750. Has 22k miles, tax, mot & new Tyres. Need it like a hole in the head but kinda miss my Yam! Just gotta convince the wife it's a good idea....

I know my dt50r has cdi restrictions, so is it possible to totaly disconnect the CDI box to get rid of that problem? And if anyone has any other tips on how to make my DT50R from 2010 to go slightly faster or atleast get more power, feel free to tell me. I dont understand shit with theese new japanese engines, everything's controlled by electric, and the parts sit so tight together so you'll have to own the exact right key, or påta for half an hour (almost) just to get the spark plug out. where did the old times go? when all you needed was a wrench and a couple of screwdrivers.

Hi all! How can I remove the tank stickers (warnings and stuff) from a YBR 125 Custom? Without damaging the paintjob and the varnish coating, of course. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, Just trying to get some views before deciding to go for either cheaper option of tomtom app on my iphone or shell out for a tomtom rider.. (I know 3rd option is mounting a stanard satnav to bike, but london is always pissing down with rain and dont like the idea of ziplock bag either). Has anyone here actually used the app on their iphone? Whats the sigal like normally? (any worse then stanard satnav) Also whats the battery life like?

Hi all, quick question for all the DT175 owners out there.. I followed a DT175 today, real tidy blue one with the same (or very similar) pipe to mine and a 1980 model. It didn't go like mine though. Not even close. It sounded flat, still husled up enough to leave me behind in the truck but nothing like my one. Mine would have cleared of, big time. It rides for all the world like an old MX bike. What yours like?

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone would be able to share a little knowledge and point me in the right direction. I have recently acquired a 1982 DT 125 Lc mk1. It is the first and only bike that has come into my possession thus far. It has been stored in a barn for the past ten years and unfortunately the fuel tank has some pretty aggressive pitting in it ( put away with fuel in tank I think). The rest of the bike is in good shape. My predicament is my knowledge or lack there of regarding yamahas. I'm wondering if there is a place where I can see all the compatible tanks for this bike. Does this exist? I've exhausted my google and eBay searches and was n…

Well i have been whizzing about on a scooter while waiting to find a decent bike.. The bike is nearly finished but i am changing the clutch rollers on the scoot as the old ones were knackered.. My question is when i took the old ones out they were covered in grease.. Are they supposed to be greasey or should they be bone dry??.. i will add the grease looked pretty manky so it may not have been put there deliberately.. Any ideas fellas?

I am trying to find out if a Radian (86) top triple tree or the upper & lower as a unit will bolt up to an 86 SRX. If so will it retain same spacing for my front wheel? As you can probably figure out I want to install a standard handle bar and I don't want to drill holes in my stock triple tree to mount risers. Radian triple trees are available on ebay right now at reasonable prices. Unless someone on here has a Radian top triple they want to sell. Thanks,

Went to the cinema last night and saw the new 3-D film about the Isle of Man TT races... I'm not a fan of Sports bikes and racing, but this is definitely something WELL worth seeing!! For those that don't know, the TT (Tourist Trophy) races take place on the Isle of Man every year. The big thrill is that this isn't a racing track - These guys are racing on normal public roads, through what are normally 30mph limit areas and around mountain roads at up to 200mph!! There are several races of different classes held over a week or two and these guys are blasting past brick and stone walls, lamp posts, sheer drops and all sorts. Accidents can and do happen - In it's hu…
