Hey guys rapid fire question round ,bought an after market pipe for my uk xvs 1100 a ,from a crowd on the pacific coast in the states, aptly named pacific coast customs ,this is a straight swap for the standard pipes And is supposed to be loud as hell ,now the problem lies in re jetting not that that is a big issue but I don't want the motor running too lean ,I m not interested in performance side just the noise and I don't drive flat out so I don't see much point in re jetting ,now that's my opinion but I m just wondering what you guys think ,and I m just wondering if anyone has done the same and if so had they any problems with starting the bike or when idling ?

  2. Hi everyone, I'm new to the Yamaha Owners Club having recently passed my test and bought a 2002 Thundercat. Bike is lovely BUT it's just developed a problem with the rev counter. Issue is as follows:- Rev Counter now revs to 8K only(on the clock but bike rides ok)and drops back to zero and does this regularly before showing the right revs for a short time then dropping to zero again. Also I have noticed the needle moves to 1K and back to zero. When it does this zero to 1K range the bike has a minor hicup(a sort of miss or jolt). HELP Please anyone got any idea's of what the problem could be as it's now becoming a pain. Cheers

Reading Fuff66UK's thread about him trying to find his first bike, and good luck to him finding it too btw, I got to thinking about my first bike, it was a Honda c50, me and my mate went halves on at £14 quid back in 77, and he kept it at his house cos he had a helmet, lol he's got a nice 'busa nowadays, the bastid, so what was your first bike, and I don't mean something you were riding off road at 11, but road legal aged 16 onwards? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Don't know about whether I'd want it today or not, I do wish though I'd kept my 750/4 k2 mind.

Hello there, I am Daniel, and I have just joined this forum. I own a 125 YBR 2006/2007 which I have had for under a year now. I wonder if someone might be able to advise me, but various plastic lugs have broken off the inside of my left hand fairing, the one that comes off to access the battery. As such the fairing doesnt quite secure on as well as it should do. I am looking for a new, replacement OEM fairing for it, but I dont know where to get such a thing. Initial internet searches havent come up with anythign directly relevant. I dont wish to attempt a bodge repair by sticking bits of plastic on with glue. If anyone knows where I should look, then that wo…

I have a 1979 XS750. It was a great deal so I had to buy it. But it is a little too tall. By a little I mean a lot. I'm about 5'8" and it's keeping me on the tip of my toes. I tried adjusting the rear springs but that did absolutely nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a lower profile seat but I would not even know where to begin to find one. Maybe some aftermarket rear suspension. Again, don't know where or what, or what combination I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After getting knocked off my last XJ6 and the bike getting wrote-off, i didnt imagine i'd get a new one for the same price as the first (£4100). However today put a deposit down on a XJ6S from George White for £3999 on 0%. Chuffed to bits...only downer was dropping the TDM coming out of work....oh well you win some you lose some. Will be glad to be an XJ6 owner again, they are so underrated it is unbelievable.

ok , i need a recommendation for a chain/padlock. I need it to do 2 things, 1st is primary security of a bike and second is read below. Need the chain and lock to lock a security gate on a shared driveway in my road. Im having a extension built and the t**t down the road has locked the gates with another chain and lock to stop my skip being taken away and another one being delivered. A car is left in the access road so again no access can be gained from this shared access so what better way than to f**k him at his own game than put my own lock on it untill i can see the land registry and determin the legality and course of action i can take. Before any one says i…
