I have a 1979 XS750. It was a great deal so I had to buy it. But it is a little too tall. By a little I mean a lot. I'm about 5'8" and it's keeping me on the tip of my toes. I tried adjusting the rear springs but that did absolutely nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a lower profile seat but I would not even know where to begin to find one. Maybe some aftermarket rear suspension. Again, don't know where or what, or what combination I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all, I know i've not spoken before couldn't think of anything to say haha i have a problem i just moved my 92 TZR 125 to my new house and before i left it was working fine but when i got here i took the key out of the ignition and the bike kept running but without lights it also now kicks up without the key in which worries me quite a bit as i've just had my SR 125 stolen from my backyard anyone know what could have occurred? After getting knocked off my last XJ6 and the bike getting wrote-off, i didnt imagine i'd get a new one for the same price as the first (£4100). However today put a deposit down on a XJ6S from George White for £3999 on 0%. Chuffed to bits...only downer was dropping the TDM coming out of work....oh well you win some you lose some. Will be glad to be an XJ6 owner again, they are so underrated it is unbelievable.

ok , i need a recommendation for a chain/padlock. I need it to do 2 things, 1st is primary security of a bike and second is read below. Need the chain and lock to lock a security gate on a shared driveway in my road. Im having a extension built and the t**t down the road has locked the gates with another chain and lock to stop my skip being taken away and another one being delivered. I was a regular at the Ducatisti forum, until my 748 caught fire and was sent to the scrapyard. I then bought an R6 and proudly joined this site, made some friends, and did a trip to Monza on it...diary available at........ www.freewebs.com/monza2008 but.....following the theft of the R6, I have bought a Honda CBR600 RR. I am trying to trace the first bike i owned,it was a black yammy rd50mx,i had it from new in 1982.The reg is VRA 803Y according to the dvla website it still exists so i wondered if anybody on here owns it or knows anything about it Cheers guys

I need to change the bars on the RXS and just wondered how you get the clutch side grip off without knacking it up...any ideas lads?

Apparently, cruiser-wise there is nothing better than Honda VT Shadow 125 or Yamaha Dragstar XVS 125. The question is – which one to go for? They are so similar that me, with now experience whatsoever, cannot decide just on the basis of respective reviews. I am going to use it for commute (40 miles daily) on A-roads with occasional trips and round-town errands. I will probably end up getting raisers for steering bar as I am 6’5” (but light). I sat on a Dragstar just yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I expected although my hands were quite lower than shoulders, hence the thought of risers. Also, moving pegs forward would probably be another good idea, if this is doab…
