  1. Started by Doctor Miracle,

I have a 1979 XS750. It was a great deal so I had to buy it. But it is a little too tall. By a little I mean a lot. I'm about 5'8" and it's keeping me on the tip of my toes. I tried adjusting the rear springs but that did absolutely nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a lower profile seat but I would not even know where to begin to find one. Maybe some aftermarket rear suspension. Again, don't know where or what, or what combination I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jeez what a letdown, I'm gonna miss the TV coverage like they had last year which was awesome, must be a big disappointment for all the pilgrims who made the journey over to the emerald Isle for this Epic event

After getting knocked off my last XJ6 and the bike getting wrote-off, i didnt imagine i'd get a new one for the same price as the first (£4100). However today put a deposit down on a XJ6S from George White for £3999 on 0%. Chuffed to bits...only downer was dropping the TDM coming out of work....oh well you win some you lose some. Will be glad to be an XJ6 owner again, they are so underrated it is unbelievable.

ok , i need a recommendation for a chain/padlock. I need it to do 2 things, 1st is primary security of a bike and second is read below. Need the chain and lock to lock a security gate on a shared driveway in my road. Im having a extension built and the t**t down the road has locked the gates with another chain and lock to stop my skip being taken away and another one being delivered. A car is left in the access road so again no access can be gained from this shared access so what better way than to f**k him at his own game than put my own lock on it untill i can see the land registry and determin the legality and course of action i can take. Before any one says i…

I was a regular at the Ducatisti forum, until my 748 caught fire and was sent to the scrapyard. I then bought an R6 and proudly joined this site, made some friends, and did a trip to Monza on it...diary available at........ www.freewebs.com/monza2008 but.....following the theft of the R6, I have bought a Honda CBR600 RR. So now I must find a comparable Honda site to chat all things bike. I will still visit this forum, as a historically experienced Yamaha rider... Had great times. Thanks. Daiv

Just wondering if anybody knows actually how fast a Yamaha WR125x goes because some say 70mph some say 75mph? because i'm getting a 2010 model in a few days due to me selling the Yamaha Aerox which i've had for a year from new also and to be honest it is the worst scooter i've ever known. its been back to the shop more times than i can remember and glad i've had warranty, also 4 days before it runs out and the scooter is all ready to be part-ex'd (just waiting for my birthday so i can get the new bike) and it breaks won't start and this time it's the bottom end that's gone and only a few months ago it had a new cylinder head, also water pump, temp light, exhaust,…

My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Y-O-C The honour has been bestowed upon me* to let you know that one of our distinguished gentry has set up his own forum, Pilningas (Mervin) has taken the plunge to provide a site for the XJ6 and new Diversion models, with a more British and Euro slant to it. Mervin did try to get a TV celebrity to make the announcement but he said :Quote "Eh, No" so, it is with great trombosity and vernacular inadequacy that I'm proud to make this announcement, raise your reading glasses to a new venture, and be upstanding The site is here http://yamahaxj6.proboards.com/index.cgi and the very best…

Apparently, cruiser-wise there is nothing better than Honda VT Shadow 125 or Yamaha Dragstar XVS 125. The question is – which one to go for? They are so similar that me, with now experience whatsoever, cannot decide just on the basis of respective reviews. I am going to use it for commute (40 miles daily) on A-roads with occasional trips and round-town errands. I will probably end up getting raisers for steering bar as I am 6’5” (but light). I sat on a Dragstar just yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I expected although my hands were quite lower than shoulders, hence the thought of risers. Also, moving pegs forward would probably be another good idea, if this is doab…
