hi , the horns have stopped working on my t max, i have checked the manual but it doesn't say which fuse works the horn, can any one help ?

i have a 1980 yamaha dt 175 i change the rings and pistons it has very good compression and spark but wont start i tryd starting fluid the carb is new and is getting gas to the to the cylinder i tought maybe it could be getting weak spark what would it most like be ign coil or stator also the bike has been complete stripd no kill switch and the and sthe on off switch up put the key n is gone to i think its calld the MAIN SWCH STRGLCK could that cause weak spark and can you rebuild a coil ur self not sure what to do i got this bike from a friend who past away i he never had it running would love to get it back running any help would be much appricated.

I haven't been on here for a while, But got my newish bike, a Yamaha ttr 250 1994 6000 miles, Needs tax and Mot Got no idiot light not sure if Mot failure Both tyres say motorcross use only deffo mot failure Abit of rust here and there.

Back in the seventies and 80,s there was a bloke riding a bike (possibly BSA Bantam) around north devon taking loads of black and white pics, a few of the pics have been digitally archived (about 17000 ) I think and are seachable I found them this morning when looking for a picture of Les Smales bike shop the first of the pics i think is James Raviliouses Bantam with a yoof looking at it in les,s shop 250/400c in it taken at little america bideford in 1978 and someones lovely new suzooki GT250 Ramair ? in Chumleigh 1975 Both of the bikes are no longer around according to the DVLA

This came up over a pint the other night.. When was the last time you saw a motorbike ad on tv? Why are there none now? (Honda doesn't count! It's a brand ad.) Aren't there supposed to be more & more of us around? What's going on?!

Hi guys, with cost of things going up D.I.Y servicing is on the cards. On a bike What is a normal service? Also does any body know what type of oil a y reg r6 takes milage is around 23000. oh and is there a haynes manual or equivalent for y reg r6. cheers!

hi can anyone tell me service costs for a xj6n ,had the 600 mile service done by the yamaha dealer now the yearly 1one or the 6000 mile service is due in a couple of weeks bike has only done 3500 miles thanks for any info on price i should be paying

can anyone explain me this, i've looked at my vin number and manufacture dates and it states in 11/77 yet when i look for this bike yamaha says this bike didnt come out till 79 can any one help me with this

Hi i have a xj600s and just wondered if it's time for valve adjusting? It has done 21,500 miles and has just developed a ticking noise from the top end... It runs fine and pulls like it should so i dunno. Any help would be much appreciated, is there any thing else i could check out first? Cheers, Tom.

Have a 2001 Yamaha raptor 660 (project bike) Dismantled the engine recently found metal in the head...not good i know does anyone know of some- one breaking one?? i also was wondering would a head and rocker cover from a xt 660/xtz 660 (5valve) fit my Raptor ?? any help would be grat help.....

Hi all, Some advice would be very useful. I have an XVS650 Dragstar. It's got Highway Hawk slash cut pipes, that were on it when I bought it. The dealer put a 12 month MOT on the bike, wich came with an advisory "loud pipes". They are extremely loud!!! I cannot afford replacement pipes at the present. They do have the Highway Hawk baffles fitted (by the slash cut). Although I am essentially quite happy with the loud pipes, I do get a tad embarrased at times, and concerned that the boys in blue won't be impressed. Query, does any one know if I pack fibre glass packing around the perforated baffles, will this lower the sound? Any other ideas?? Thanks …

Just bought some new leather gloves, leathers a bit stiff and so need suppling up a bit, anybody out there have any tips to make them more supple? Cheers Nev

I need a new rear caliper for my 900 Divvy, has anyone upgraded or can anyone tell me what will fit as a standard replacement? I believe the FZR 600 caliper is the same, as well as the 850 TDM. Andy other thoughts?

Hi, I recently purchased a 2001 v-star 650 and would like to get a shop/repair manuel, any suggestions?

Had a wierd thing happen a while back. It was a stinking hot day (approx 40 degrees C at 6pm). Was riding along at about 60kmh and the scoot just died. No spluttering. Just complete and immediate loss of all power. Suspected it was electrical but the thing started easily and off I went. Same thing happened again that night and as per previous time, started again no problems. Since then the headlight has stopped working. Doesn't work on either lo or hi and the dash illumiination doesn't come on either for the two dials. Indicators and brake light work fine and bikes starts and runs perfectly. I've checked: -Light switch continuity (ok) -hi/lo witch coni…

Oh well, thought i'd sorted my flooding issue but alas the carbs have got to come off. Its a complete arse of a job almost as bad as a TDM. Pipes galore and you have to take half the bike to bits to boot, tank, seat, exhausts, rad, all bodywork. All for a little bit of crap stuck in the float. Gutted.

Many, many moons ago, I owned an RD350LC registration RAG452W. I rebuild the bike from scratch, upgrading pratically everything, and spending a shed load of money on it. I even splashed out on a mural of Pink Floyd The Wall on the tank. Started life as a 250LC, but even upgraded that to the 350LC. I had to sell the bike in the end, but I've always wondered what ever happened to the machine. I dont suppose any of you good guys out there would know or have any info??
