hi, i have a YBR125 '61' and have bought the official Yamaha LED blinkers - http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/accessories/?productCode=YBR125&redirect=false - installed them as it shows.. indicator with the resistor in parallel with it and they supply 2 10ohm resistors, i have installed front and rears of these and they flash too fast and are illegal at the speed they flash. does anyone know of any ways to sort out the speed of flashing without installing a new relay? i have tried installing more resistors but still doesnt seem to help. the original bulb indicators were 10w/12v and my battery is 12v. any advice will be much appreciated. thanks. Oli.

Now then, here's a problem I am really stuck on. My 2002 xjr was Ok one day but the next started to run very rough. I checked the plugs and I found that No. 1 plug was black with carbon so I changed the plug but this did not make any difference. I put a new set of plug caps on. Again no difference. The spark wasn't bad but there was the possibility of a damaged HT lead. However the HT's from the coil are fixed I so couldn't just change them and had to buy a new coil. Hmm, lovely spark but still no difference. OK, strip the carbs and have a look. HORROR!! No1 carb slide had a big burn hole in the back - the air filter side, not cylinder side, so I removed the car…

I have a 2009 WR450F and looking at lighting kits. There are two I can find, the Dakar and the Baja Designs. Do you know of others and if not which of these two truly make the bike more real world street worthy?

Hi all, I'll about to start using my shiny new (8 year old) TTR around town, but I'm more than a litle concerned that one only needs to unscrew the cap from the plastic tank, if they wanted to siphon off some fuel. So my question is this: Is it possible to lock a TTR tank? I could of course mod something done on another bike, mod my own fuel cap, or buy a locking fuel cap outright. I haven't yet found one online, and so to the forum I have flown (as they say). Cheers

Hi there, i am new to the forum, and i have a problem with my yamaha tzr50 2004. My bike has been running badly ever since i perchaced it and i have been trying to track down the problem for weeks in the end i took of the flywheel cover and i cheked the timing with a flash light and it was stuck at 24 degrees. I think this is too far advanced and that it is meant to change when the bike is revved up. Aslo the rev counter jumps around all the time so i think that it is the cdi that is broken. Also the stator is 12v and has 12 coils instead of the usual 6 on most of the am6 engines. could anyone suggest what to do? many thanks Declan

Hi all, I'm after some advice with getting a Cat C write off back on the road. It's a YBR 125 custom, first bike, bought second hand for about £1400. I had a *very* minor accident a few months back. Was parked on the road and a big SUV backed into the bike, knocking it into another bike. The damage to mine looked very minimal (dented the instrument panel I'd only recently replaced(!), a broken indicator light, some minor scratches). The other bike was a lot worse off, and when I found the bike neither driver was there so I reported it to my insurer and the police to cover my back... a week later the car driver got in touch, was unreservedly apologetic and said his thi…

Hi all, Thinking about shedding these 125s... and going straight through my main test. I am unsure as what it consists of, one guy told me its harder than a car test, and another told me it was as easy as the CBT. I know there are two modules, is module 1 the CBT and module 2 the main stuff? Do you have lessons like car or do you just go through it like CBTs? I am under the impression its about 800 quid to go through, but someone told me he had lessons and it cost over 1000 pound all together. Pretty clueless, I had a look on google and at all this .gov.co.uk shit and its balls... Has anyone who has done it all got any reccomendations for it or…

Hey Guys, Well im not sure if any of you have used this site before? I ordered a number plate bracket off of them just before Christmas in which with in 5 minutes my missus had a phone call at home from them saying that due to Christmas that they didn't think that it would get to me so they would send it in the new year for me. So that not a drama for me as the bike is still in bits and i could crack on with other bits. So the new year is now here so i popped an e-mail off to Graham at custom wizard just to see when they would be sending the said item, and he said that it would be going Royal mail 1st class today, GREAT i was thinking.......and with out fail the very n…

Recommendations on which helmet to get? I'm looking to spend $200-$300 on a full face style. Since I am on old fart , hold the comic book/superhero/deathwish graphics. A plain ole red or black or grey bucket, thanks very much. With a sprinkling of snow on the ground and it being -9C, the bike season is well and truly done around here. so i'm hoping to score a winter deal on a helmet. When I last biked, the big manufacturers (that I recall) were Bell, Shoei, and Arai.. AGC and Nolan were around too. My local dealer stocks stuff like Zox, HJC, as well the above brands and other brands that I don't recall just now. They are a fairly large dealer. (About 300 bikes…

Heres some useful topbox info for TDM850 and probably topboxes generally. I bought my bike in October (just in time for winter!) and needed a topbox. Looked at Givi but didnt want to spend £200-£300 on Givi brackets, plate and box so managed to come up with a comprimise. The Givi brackets are essential as they are taylored to the bike and think they are the cheapest out there - about £80 from Mad4Bikes for TDM850. Fitting it isnt for the faint-hearted and be careful not to dismantle more than you have to - huh-hem! Givi sell a seperate plate (about £40) but i didnt need this in the end. The topbox i bought was a huge Tech7 48litre jobby which you can find on Amazon. For £…
