Hi there, I've recently bought a XT 600E 1991 and it needs some work. The wheels need sorting, both need respoking. I've looked into doing this myself but it seems time consuming and difficult without the right tools and patience. So i was wondering if there was a set of wheels (non spoked) that could fit straight on with minimum fuss? The price to send them away to get them done is ridiculous and so is the price of replacement spokes. Is there another way? Cheers

Hi guys, i want to pick your brains. I recently picked up a second hand XT660X with 15k on the clock. Its a lovely machine but it over revs by itself and dies out at low speed when changing gear. There have been times when ive been placed in danger because of this and its also quite embarrassing. Never has any problem restarting though! I know its the TPS. Looking back at some of the forums, i can see other XT riders have had the same problem and ive heard that Yamaha replaced the TPS on some machines under warranty but i expect this option is not available anymore because the machine is a 04 model and getting on a bit. Hi new to the forum, can anyone tell me if any other shocks fit the TDM850. I need a replacement and can't afford a new one, someone told me that the R6 fits but i can't confirm this. Any advice will be greatly received.

Hey all, I'm new to the site. I've had my yamaha about two years now and would like to learn to fix it for myself. However, I would need to buy a haynes manual. This past few years I have noticed an increasing number of quads on the road in my city. It feels like there's a quad epidemic. It's getting ridiculous, they are noisy as fook and they ride around in gangs. Ive just seen four of them paying no attention to the traffic and using the wrong lanes.

My chain keeps stretching and becoming very slack, I no im to buy a new one and was told gold ones are probably the best, having googled it though im not really finding much? How much would you say a worth while chain is going to cost?? Thanks.

Hi i was looking to trade my bike in but think im being offered very little its a YBR 125 08 plate 9k on clock with the square front its just been MoT had 2 new forks (chrome flaked off) new exhaust and a new battery (not for MoT) its got a top box fitted too ! no damage Picture linky How much do you think this bike is worth i see so many price ranges on mcn ect ??? i was expecting around £1200 thanks james

hi guys, im getting an Rd125lc ypvs i love the bike and am going to ride it when I'm 17, faster than any other modern 125! The bike goes well in a straight line but doesn't have great brakes, tyres or forks, so i thought can you put the forks and wheels off a modern Aprilia Rs 125 and also brembo calipers and disks! thank you any help would be appreciated!

Hi out there, I'm looking for a speedo sensor for my fzs 600 and there are none on eBay. Fowlers are looking for £120 for a new one but that goes against the grain. Does anyone know whether I can use a similar item from another Yamaha model as there are a few on eBay which look like they could fit although in some cases the wiring looks rather short? i kain its nae a yamaha, but im starting to think about my next bikee . . looking at the above, its 6700, brand new and if i pay 3k as a deposit i can pay the rest of in 2 years at 2.2% interest . . anyone had any experience or heard anything about them ?

someone was looking over me at the weekend ,how this didnt let go is beyond me . id just spent 4 hours doing 80 up the a1 turned off the to do the last stretch for home noticed the chain was notching and jiggling ,a mate was behind me and noiced a dry link so went out monday to tighten/lube even tho its a rat bike this is always lubed blahblah

hi having problems with my dt 125. I started with the engine spluttering when you hit the power band intermittent but getting worse throughout the day now it will start tith the choke only and wont rev at all had carb off cleaned it thought it might have been float setting but there was plenty of fuel in the bowl checked reeds there ok to someone told me it could be the head gasket pulling air in could it do that? someone help me please!!!!!!!!

I've been thinking once I get my full licence would I really need a 1200cc bike? Some of the two stroke 125's are capable of 100m.p.h. I imagine if I got a 500cc or 600cc it would be powerful and fast enough for my needs. What is the difference if any for example a 600cc and a 1000cc. I know the sizes are bigger but is it really noticable and can you feel a lot of difference?

Ok so I'm new to all of this and I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do next. I currently own a SR 125 and the rear running light won't work at all. I've checked and I know that it's not the ground that's broken, it's the positive. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to trace where the fault is in the positive? Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know if dragstar front forks will fit an XJ 650??? I have bought an XJ trike and I really don't like the front end, I thought of using the dragstar front end as it's a lot cleaner and less cluttered..... If anyone has any other ideas, please shout up...... Bertie
