is it just me that does this, i seem to go through phases where i have to keep adjusting the handlebars and i leave them for a few days then it doesnt feel right so i adjust them again. ive done this with all my past bikes aswell and with different bars on. i,ll leave them alone for months, happy with the way they are only to suddenly not feel happy with them and then go and adjust them again.

Right so I'm going to be building DTR engines for my 2 DTR projects. What I'm trying to find out is about cylinder heads and squish bands. There are various different cylinder heads and in the detonation area is where they vary. Some are smooth and some have a band which i presume is a squish band? Does this then mean that heads with that squish band are going to produce better power? Some people seem to think it should be smooth? I'm confused! Any help would be good!

Amazing how having my 10year old on the back of the bike turns you from big bad biker, (we can all dream) to Mr Safety. After the wife's utterly dumb statement of "don't need gloves in this heat do you?", never mind. We went into town for an appointment and parking and traffic in the car is a bitch. She loved it and was very good as a pillion, bit wobbly but on the whole just moved with the bike. She is a runner too so light as a feather which helps. Oddly i really enjoyed it too, came the long way home down some lanes i havent ridden for a long while, turned a 10 mile trip into 30. Pretty good for her first time as pillion. Happy dad

Left work, happy enough nipped along to the first roundybout an then the trudge down the new link road, its only about a mile or so but you always have traffic and somehow the wind blows down it weird. Anyway a Suzui come blasting up from behind and stops with me at the junction. Suzuki "Alright mate, them TDR 125's are not bad when you goin to get a proper bike, somat with a bit of go like this" Me (through gritted teeth) "I'm perfectly happy with it" Then the junction cleares he fucks of at a million miles an hour, into TDR land. Bad tarmac, bad bends, and i've been riding them day in day out rain or shine for the last 4-5 years..... Only the ice ha…

The EU are trying to pass a few new regulations onto motorbikes this will stop 1.All modifications to complete power train, from airbox to controlling the rear tyre profile 2. Compulsory ABS 3. Automatic headlights, just to pick at our riding habbits there 4. On Board Diagnostics so that roadside checks can be made of our emissions and constant readouts of our engine's performance can be obtained, this is similar to a tachograph on HGV's which means that they will know how we ride our bikes 5. Repair and Maintenance Information stored on the ECU rarther then the little service book 6. Any race parts fitted to a street going bike illigal 7. full day-glo clothi…

after reading reviews and looking at pictures of peoples bikes on here and other forums ive decided on an xj6 diversion in black, i have an 05 fz6 fazer at the moment which i bought new, its on its second set of steering head bearings, ive heard about alot of fz6,s with similar problems of them wearing out quick. they are one their way out again and now ive had enough and although its a great bike and in seven years ive only done 28,000 miles on it, i feel its time for a change, i test rode an xj6 and loved it, very smooth riding and didnt seem that much slower than the fz. These days most of my riding is commuting to work apart from the odd ride out here and there, mayda…

My friend has just fitted a new alarm to my bike today. It cost me £30 off eBay and I love it. It's really sensitive and loud as hell. I swear knowing that there's an alarm on my bike now I can relax, the paranoia, stress, and anxiety I have suffered fretting over it getting stolen has really given me a hard time. Now it has just gone like a weight been lifted from my shoulders.
