Hi All, I'm afraid my first post is a call for help. I've just passed my test and treated myself to a 2009 XJ-6N. The bike seemed immaculate and was purchased from a dealer. The issue occurred around 200 miles into riding the bike I noticed that the o-rings on the chain were popping out and ridding round with the chain (which were then cut on the sprocket). The bike has only done 6000 miles. So I went back the dealer and said look (even with my limited knowledge) this isn't right, he agreed to have the chain changed for me and was really good about getting it done. ...and now the issue, I've done around 600 miles on the new chain. I've just got back from a bit …

This has been posted on the Rd forum so i thought i would let all here know, as Ymabits has far to much stuf now to bring to the show and it wastes a week sorting stuff out each side of the show, and he gets a backlog of orders to sort when he gets back we will be offering free UK postage for a couple of days to customers using the website. Rather that be just specific to club members this will apply to anyone with a shipping address in the UK so spread the word Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of October

I cant find anything on tinterwebz that says this is right (in fact things that say its wrong). I need to do the top end and know that the piston sizes differ 88-89 (56.40mm) and 90 onwards (56.00mm). Then i guess then ive gotta see if its already been bored total PITA getting a 2nd hand bike, i wanna know everything Thanks in advance guys $t0F

Hi Folks Not a Yamaha owner at the moment but am thinking about getting a Bulldog. It seems to get mixed reviews but I like the idea of a big V Twin in a bike that can handle and stop. Its a cool looking bike too, but I other than that I dont know much about it - so thought I might find some advice on this site! So, couple of questions for you: Whats it like to own? Reliable? Easy to do basic servicing at home? Does it handle/stop well? (Bearing in mind Im a bit of a noob - passed my test 6 months ago. So Im not, nor never will be, a 'knee-down-ninja'!) My one concern is the lack of power - 60HP seems a bit crap for such a big engine - how much can it be tuned…

I had a great summer with the thunderace but the old neck and back didn't agree with the riding position so she had to go. Now i've got a 2000 fzs600 fazer, comfy and nimble, with the added bonus of ....heated grips! roll on winter, i'm ready for you now lol. She also has a hugger fitted and a scottoiler, gonna get some braided brake lines and maybe a stainless header for the exhaust, (painted steel wont last the salty winter too well, methinks) Are there any known problems i should look out for? Let me know plz, ta

cant seem to find front foot pegs + center stand. i noticed my center stand was more of a side stand.. Then i noticed if i was to do something drastic like ohh.. use the back break. the foot peg moves... so im trying to figure out where i would get atleast the little frame that has the footpegs I really need to jet wash the whole underside of the frame so i can see whats wrong. "could just need bolting on properly i guess" But if i do need to replace it. i have no idea where to get one. Or if i can use one from a diferent model yamaha. also not to sure about welding it back together if its snaped as i dont know what the MOT people would say

my pinlock visor was due a maintenance (fogging around the edges of the insert on the main visor). i have a Nolan N85 that came ready-fitted with the pinlock, and i haven't fiddled with it since i bought it (ive removed the whole visor to clean it, but thats all my attempt at cleaning and refitting the insert will get its test tomorrow, but ive also noticed that the insert is touching the main visor (not the silicon edging), which would cause the temperature difference, aiding anti fogging, to be reduced, as the cold from the outside can come straight across, without having to move across the air gap as well. i guess that this isnt normal, but is it something to worry …

Hey all! So some of you may be aware from a previous thread that all is going well with my YBR, apart from the lame headlight bulb (full beam is fine). It's making my trip down unlit roads really difficult as the headlight fails to light anything past 4 / 5 meters in front of me... Add to that the fact that these roads are generally national speed limit, it all makes me feel a little uneasy. So, I've been Googling replacement bulbs (as well as looking on here), but I'm just after some clarification as I struggle to understand this (lame I know...) The bike is fitted with a H4 12v 35w/35w bulb. I'm getting a mixture of information from the net as well as face…

I have finally got round to buying some new boots six months after getting my bike I kept changing my mind about what sort and style I wanted. I knew I needed some badly for safety reasons but kept putting off, also I was sick of my feet getting soaked. Anyway I settled on these, I'm sure they will last me a good few year. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTOCROSS-Racing-BOOTS-by-WULFSPORT-in-BLACK-Race-Enduro-Motox?item=360397066462&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2344971192805742524

I purchased a xvs400 2001 model Dragstar 6months ago & love the bike. I went for a 400 instead of a 250 as I am just over 100kilos & wanted to make sure that the bike could handle the highway. Problem but - the bike seems very comfortable sitting at 80km/h but seems to struggle to reach & stay at 100km/h. A friend of mine who only weighs 80kilo & rides a 650 ninja took th Dragstar for a run & also found that it seems to want to sit on 80 rather then 100km/h. Any help is greatly appreciated as this is my first bike after a 20 odd year break..... Thankyou
