Hey folks. Quicky question to pester you all with. I bought my Yam Thundercat 600 about 6 months ago and have noticed there is very little feel from the rear brake? A quick inspection shows the pads seem in good nick and not being mechanically minded I'm not sure where to look next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andy

Hi guys I know it is rude to ask for help as I am a new newbie but I am a wee bit stuck. I decided today that I would change the plugs oil filters etc on my recently purchased fzr600 foxeye. I also drained the carbs and put fresh fuel in as the bike has stood for a long time and although running it was very hard to start etc. Anyway I have moved the radiator out the way to get to the plugs but none of the plug keys I have are small enough to get onto the nut have you any idea of the size? Just from looking at it I would guess a 13-14mm socket would this be right? Cheers

I have just been thinking about people who have restricted their bikes because of their licence. I am wondering if anybody actually sticks to having their bike restricted or just removes the system/device as soon as they have had it fitted and got their certificate. It must be very tempting to do this, I bet a lot of people just fuck it off, especially younger ones.

im looking to swap my stock YBR grips for some oxford hot grips (or the dr. bike ones, which appear to be the same but cheaper ), but im not sure if it will be easy enough to fit: most guides seem to show bikes with bar ends, which my YBR (2011 model) doesnt have, but rather the rubber grip covers over the bore in the handlebar is it still practical and easy to fit heated grips? and do i require any more hardware to add (like if the grips allow for bar ends and leave a hole for the screw) thanks

Folks a couple of questions ive just done a small service on my xj900f (94) oil first with new filter, the old oil smelled kinda like petrol, could this be because the bike was running rich?and the excess fuel getting in through the bores new air filter next was new plugs changed out with type recomended in the haynes with a 0.70 gap as recomended(the old plugs had gaps ranging from 0.25 to 0.35 and were pretty much carboned up) however the bike ran with these plugs on trying to start her up the starter motor turns over fine and the engine is turning over but no spark and a strong smell of fuel obviously flooding, should i reduce the gap to say 0.50 or can anyone see…

Hi, I am a newbe to the Forum... I hope someone can help. My son has a 55 plate DTR 125, I brought some Dunlop K550's in July this year. He has done about 1650 miles to and from work, no off road and I have noticed that the rear tyre has worn to the wear indicator, the front is like new. Could someone tell me if this is normal and how many miles do you get out of a rear tyre. The garage told me they are only good for 2,000 miles, at £90 a go its not cheap! Thanks Mark

i nearly killed a 12-14 year old kid last week, and i decided that children should not be allowed roads i was on my way out of Bolton, at the back end of the afternoon school run (slow traffic, but not stopping every few hundred yards) the car ahead of me indicated right, and moved over, leaving almost enough space for another car to pass to their left, so i just moved left, slowed it to 20 and cruised through the gap as i came level with the stopped driver, i saw a kid sprinting across the road, head DOWN, not looking for traffic, far too close for comfort (had i not hit the brakes, i would've hit him for certain) after a short slide (not my best emergency st…

Pal of mine has a 09 TDR 125 nice bike had a few owners worked fine..till last week... Then suddenly....won't go past 40.mph? I'm wondering if that Cat ( I think it has one in the exhaust has collapsed ?) If it was an early machine i'd just say it needed a decoke? it's done 9k and not been that well looked after. he's bringing over at the weekend and I'm supposed to be an appropriate expert...hah! Any help on where first to look much appreciated Apparently, it starts easily makes no nasty noises and runs well up to 40 mph...wont rev out in any gear. Many thanks bonnietiler
