I finally got my 1981 Yamaha XS400 on the road after being garaged for 11 years...and totally legal to boot (Thanks go to Yamahead and MSchott99 for all their patience and help.) Now I need to get a helmet. I've pretty much made up my mind to get a full face helmet, and hopefully one with some ventilation. Other than that I'm not sure what I want/need or should consider. I was hoping that you folks could offer some advice and help me with the following: What type to get - brand/style? Where to shop to get a great deal? Thanks for all your help, and I look forward to seeing you on the road. BrewTrooper

Apparently every year the town has an old bike festival...and today was the day! So off I went into town on the XT (with no battery or regulator in it) to check it out. Loads of European bikes, some of them with names I've never seen before. Only one Jap there from what I could see....an early 80's CX650 Turbo. Oh...and one Beemer! More on that later! So here's some shots....with some real weird and wonderful machines to see! They were all parked up on the central plaza in the town by 10am...... Then at 11am they all moved off with horns beeping and crowds cheering! Apparently they all ride up to the La S…

Does anybody have any idea what biking is to expect with this new EU multi tier system that is supposed to be coming in, or if it is actually coming in? If new bikers are to be restricted in CC / BHP does anybody have any idea what bikes fall in to what catagory? I was asked this question by a young friend of mine who is 18 and wants to know whats going on, and basically I dont have a scooby!

....A Drafting position to draw parts for this ... MotoCzysz is a local company & this is their MotoGP Bike project. There's some real innovative concepts on this beast.....especially in the front end, such as an Adjustable Trail @ the axle.....& what they call Coaxial Steering @ the triple clamps. here.....Have a look for yourselves...... http://www.motoczysz.com/main.php?area=bike I just read where they are also looking for data aquisition technicians as well......definitely a growing company. This would have to be the Coolest Drafting job I could ever have! Fingers Crossed!

Hi All. Can someone help me, I have a xj600 1990 with only 12000 odd miles on it and its now running poorly, I've put new plugs and air filter on but with no joy. It seems to be chocking up with fuel and missing after about 15 mins of running and wont tick over. And then fails to re start. The carb are clean and fresh petrol. I can clean the plugs and the next day it starts but all of above happens again. Anyone out there with any idea of whats wrong. Thanks Jon
