I asked a Yamaha salesman how long the engine might last on a Tour DeLuxe and he said about 100,000 mi. I'd like some input from owners of that type of engine. Any high mileage V4s out there? TIA

It never fails that the 1 day you were hoping to be pleasant Weatherwise…..turns out to be a bit on the soggy side ….. Oh well, I was still up for making the best of it. I found that the bigger Fir tree’s along the infamous “HeartBreak Hill” , provided some ample protection from the rain as well as a better view point. After seeing current Pro’s run here before……I was kinda amazed how quick some the faster riders made it up this hill ….. There definitely was a nice collection of Vintage Iron that showed up….. A Tidy looking Husky…. I like the Black rims & chrome pipe on this old Elsie…. What a …

Hello guys! I decided to register on here today as I'm seriously considering getting an R6 in the next couple of months. I currently ride an SV650 S but am wanting something newer and a bit more sportier. Anyway, I won't babble like a cretin - just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to meeting you all. Here's a few pics in the meantime....

The genuine Yamaha heated grips are not cheap. Has anyone tried Oxford Hotgrips? I heard there were some reliability issues with the switch. Jon

Has anyone fitted the fairing inserts to a Fazer S2? Yamaha calls them 'knuckle visors'. Thinking about it but not sure if they're worth £119. Jon.

Hi! its a good job this is not pen & paper or I would have run out. All else has failed so consider this a begging e-mail!!!! I have removed a faulty water pump off my TRX 850. The bl**dy shim that was on the shaft dropped off into the engine. Haynes manual warns about this, but virtualy impossible to stop it happening. But it gives no advice as to how to remove the offending little bu**er! Does any body out there have any advice as I refuse to believe that this is the first ever water pump to bust on a TRX or TDM which is the same set up? So I will not believe that this has not happened before!please please please please HELP!

Well my 1st road bike just happens to be the new 2006 R1, went over board for a 1st time owner, but i thought what the heck. But as for slowing down, ive tried both ways, clutch in, and brake, to slow down to proper speeds. or to downshift to allow the engine to slow me down, what is healthier for the bike? what else should i know about this bike, so i dont accidently hurt or damage the insides. thanks Mitch
