Hi everyone out there! I lived in the USA for a year, a while back and one of my friends sold me my first bike (the Hurricane) and sorted me with leathers and a helmet for the summer. His helmet had a polarized lense on the visor and I rode with it all summer there! It was fantastic at removing glare and reflections and it was so much better then stuffing sunglasses under my lid! I was so impressed with the lense that, when I came back to the UK and started biking again I contacted him and told him I'd like to bring the lenses to riders in the UK. This isn't a sales pitch to get you to buy the lenses (although orders are gratefully received!!), but if anyone has used…

OK, here are some simple thoeretical physics lessons that may help out the next officer fo the law that pulls you over; Lesson 1: If I am ridding a bike that accelerates more quickly than the average police car, I will move away from a stop quicker than the car. With this in mind if you want to catch up to me, you will have to move quicker to do that. If I (being law abiding and all that) were to accelerate up to 30mph in say 2 seconds and it take you 8 seconds to get there, I will be travelling at 30mph for 6 seconds more than you (are we all ok at this point?) To catch up to me you need to do more than 30mph to close the 6 second gap between us. This does not m…

Hello there ppl, I've just purchased one of these little FZ750 beauties, its a 1991 model, this was to be used as a second bike to my Vmax, thing is, I can't keep off it It's one one hell of a ride and well underated as a serious contender to some newer plastics. After doing all the major checks It took to the road with a mate who has an R1, I was astounded by the performance and on a clear road opened her up and she went well past the 150mph clock, my mate was along side on his R1 and told me he was doing around 160mph, I had to shut her down as we ran out of road and it was still pulling. Now I'm not sure if people still use this forum regularly, but if they …

OK whilst sitting in the bath last night with the rubber duck floating around my feet I was thinking about my winter bike, a little 250 that I just jump on and go with. I am not too fussed about the winter ice skating motorcycling as it does not have enough power to spin the back end away too quickly. Then it occured to me that it has about 30bhp and to get anywhere on it I have to ride it to the limits of the bike if I want to keep up with traffic outside of town driving (80 ish flat out, head down, arse up). It strikes me that its not really a good way to learn to ride a 'big' bike. This means that if you go down the 33bhp limit route for 2 years, you spend those 2 …

A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other of the afterlife. Their biggest fear was that there was no afterlife. After a long life, the husband was the first to go, and true to his word he made contact, 'Annie, Annie.' 'Is that you, Fred?' 'Yes, I've come back like we agreed.' 'What's it like?' 'Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex, I have breakfast, off to the golf course, I have sex, I bathe in the sun, and then I have sex twice. I have lunch, another romp around the golf course, then sex pretty much all afternoon. After supper, golf course again. Then have sex until late at night. The next day it starts again.' …

Hello folks Well I'm back on here as a member since September when some mad old woman in a polo wiped out me and the ex when out on the R6 Bike was totally written off and due to it coming up to winter, I decided not to rush out and buy another bike... until now Complete spur of moment but I fell in love with this R1 and bought it straight away this morning. She's gorgeous and to be perfect honest... I'm a bit nervous about riding her (had about 5 month experience on a bike). Should get her this week I hope... excited???? Yep

This morning I put my rucksack and lid (Arai Astro-R) on the floor while I wheeled out the bike and turned the engine over. I didn't realise that the lid was sitting on part of the bag straps until I picked the bag up and the lid rolled around a bit, glancing a brick wall. I wasn't worried at the time, as I hadn't dropped it or anything and it just rolled around. However, putting the lid on this evening at work, I noticed a scrape on the top of the lid. Its only small, about 3mm long, maybe 1mm across, but its gone through the paint - so I'm guessing its scratched the outer shell. Should I be worried about it? My first thought was that it was just a scratch, but I t…
