Haga returns to Yamaha for 2005 10/1/2005 Yamaha has signed popular Japanese rider Noriyuki Haga to complete its line-up for the 2005 Superbike World Championship season. Haga will race a YZF-R1 for the Milan-based Yamaha Motor Italia team, reuniting him with the brand on which he made his name in the late Nineties. The Japanese ace was a Yamaha rider between 1994 and 2001 and during this period he won 11 world superbike races, taking a best championship finish of second in the 2000 season, Yamaha's last year of official participation in the series. Last year Noriyuki rode a privately-entered Ducati to six wins and third in the series, a re…

I am very happy indeed, a big kid at heart and I take as little as possible very seriously. To this end I am over the moon to have seen some snowflakles fall to the ground this evening. We are down in the South West or the UK, we don't get a lot really so it's a big thing I wonder how hard the winter will be - loadsa snow please !

....Briefly on his break from testing. Valentino Rossi was finally able to take a break from motorcycles on his return home from an intense Yamaha test at Sepang this weekend. The Italian was back in his native country to take part in the Monza Rally, driving a Toyota Corolla with co-driver Carlo Cassina. Also competing were Rossi’s father Graziano, who had Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha Team Director Davide Brivio as his co-driver, and a host of other VIP riders including Dindo Capello, the 2000 winner of the Le Mans 24 hours and former AC Milan footballer Daniele Massaro.

I got to bed at 7 this morning because i was riding like a twat on the icy roads and came off the bike at around 110mph :/ there was 4 of us, 1 car 1 50cc 1 125 and me, and we were going down a long dual carriage way, the car and 125 went ahead a bit but i was waiting behind the 50 for the engine to get some heat in it, once it was all warmed i opened the throttle right back and blasted it down the dual carriageway (this was at like 1:15 in the morn so nothing else on the roads basically) once i had the car and bike in sight they were side by side so i thought by the time the bike gets past the car i can go blasting past, as i was getting closer i realised the bike wasn…

On the RG500 mailing list, many weird and wonderful things filter through. The main engine difference between Yamaha's RD500 ad the RG500 s that the Yam is a true V4 and the RG500 is a paralell 4. That is..... Until now. One of the guys has created this monster ! A true V4 Suzuki RG500 monster bike, Mark Dent (RG500 god) is getting around 145 horse power, with a completely reworked crank case arrangement, surely this is surpassable ? I don't know but I wish I had the know how and ability do create this... N_Tart, this would keep you happy, much lighter than an R1 and (not confirmed) somewhere around 300bhp per litre...
