Hi, I'm new here. My name is Olli and I live in Farnborough, Hampshire I really enjoyed riding my FZR1000 RU, but the time has come for me to move on. I'm getting out of biking for personal reasons. My 15month old Dobermann was killed by a speeding driver just over a year ago. We now have another Dobermann... 10months old I would rather go for walks with the dog than go out and risk my life with all the idiots out on the road. SOOO.... I will be selling ALL my bikes, parts and accessories It's going to take me a while to sort through everything, so if you need ANY FZR1000 parts or GSXR400RR, give me a shout. If it wasn't f…

Hello another aging newbie here. After 20 years as a car driver I've decided to get a bike at the tender age of 38. After doing my CBT (1st time ever on a bike) it was clear to me that 20+ years as a car driver caused problems with the brain to hand & foot messages. So I've resigned myself to the fact I'm going to have to be a learner for a while & bought myself a ybr125. A question then for uk bikers (or from anywhere in the world with a knowledge of the answer to the question I'm going to ask). If I do my standard bike test in the next couple of months will I still be entitled to ride any bike in 2 years time or will the changes in October mean I have to do…

Hi all, we have an XJ900s Diversion and have been given a set of Nonfango hard luggage, top box and panniers. Also given a fitting kit but we can't see how it attaches to the bike, none of the holes line up correctly. Assured it was off the same bike so we're baffled. Anyone got any pics of the fitting kit on a Divvy to give us some clues?

Hi All! Got a 56-reg DT125R and the exhaust is starting to get a few spots of rust / bronze spots on it. I bought some "PJ1 Coatings Fast Black" finish to re-coat it. Can anyone advise the best way to go about this please? Do I need to remove the exhaust to do the job properly or should I mask the areas I dont want to spray and do it that way? ..and one last thing, I love the style of the following (what look like pretty new) Yamaha items: '08 Team Gauntlet Gloves http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/apparel/...941/detail.aspx Yamaha YX-5 Off-Road Helmet (Yamaha Blue) http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/apparel/...719/detail.aspx Does anyone know if…

Please, everyone sign this petition to bring the CB400SS to the states! Right now it is only offered in Japan and we are seriously missing out. http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/USCB400SS This is not only a classic styled motorcycle, but it is small, nimble and gets 94mpg! If they bring it to the US I would seriously buy one new.

..having just blown all my cash on an '03 Dragstar 125 i'm now broke, although did manage to pass my CBT with a somewhat spotless pass-mark. So here's the issue... ride on L-plates without a pillion or go for the full test, which will require £600 for out-of-hours / weekend lessons. However, having been a motocrosser since the age of 9, and a car driver since 17 (now 42) I do feel I could take a crack at the test without investing over half a grand in lessons (especially as my CBT report was 'a natural, just don't appear too confident in your test' which I take to be a good pass-mark). So my question to you is: do examiners take a dim view of upstarts who seek to depri…

Me and Lee watched this the other night - absolutely BRILLIANT. Its very much like a spaghetti western but with bikers. The music and the scenery give it that old Clint Eastwood gringo movie feel. Stars Larry Bishop, Michael Madsen, Dennis Hopper, Eric Balfour, David Carradine & Vinnie Jones Im not sure when its released over here in the cinemas but hopefully it will be soon - this movie DESERVES a good screening! I found this GREAT review on the net about it and it sums up just what i thought - only better: God Bless Quentin Tarantino for commissioning Lary Bishop to make this movie. God bless the Weinsteins for coming up the with the (small) budget…

Some info to clear up any confusion about the new motorcycle test: The new practical motorcycle test will be introduced from 29 September with the aim of improving the standard of road safety for motorcycle and moped riders. Motorcyclists face greater risks than most other groups of road users; this is particularly the case for young and inexperienced riders. The fee for the standard weekday new practical test will be £80.00. Bookings made by trainer bookers will be taken from Monday 4 August. The new test event will contain two elements. The higher speed exercises and other exercises will be tested on safe off-road sites and take about 10 minutes to complet…
