* Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul. * Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't get real interesting until about 70 mph. * You start the game of life with a full pot of luck and an empty pot of experience. The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck. * If you wait, all that happens is that you get older. * Saddlebags can never hold everything you want, but they CAN hold everything you need. * The only good view of a thunderstorm is in your rear view mirror. * Don't ride so late into the night that you sleep through the sunrise. * Sometimes it takes a whole tank of fuel before you can think straight.…

If money was no object, what would be the line up of bikes in your garage? Here's mine to start you all off; 1987 Honda MTX125 - because we all started somewhere, and you only move forward by remembering where you come from. 1988 Yamaha RD125 ypvs - because my next door neighbourg had one, and I used to have erotic dreams about her, and the bike! These bikes were just the best of the time. Benelli Tornado - Just because. it's a thing of beauty, and everyone should have something beautifull in thier lives. Honda Goldwing - Just to have a bike with a reverse gear! no other reason at all Yamaha XT-Z, with full overland conversion. If money was no object t…

Hi all, While I am sorting out my clutch, I am doing the valves at the same time and I got the top off today to check the gaps and they should be 0.21. I cannot get that feeler guage in, only one of them a 0.15 and some 0.10 ( Sorry this is Exhaust valves ) and the other ones not even that . Why would the gap be so small and none of them at 0.21. If anything, I would think the gap to be bigger for wear and tear ?? . I have not measured the front ones yet . Could anyone give me some advice please. Many thanks Michelle.x

hello After hearing the good news that the new test has been delayed, and the fact i am annoyed at my mates keep pulling away from me as i only have a 125, i decided it is time to get off my arse and take my full test. Called the place that arranged my CBT and was quoted the below for direct access....is this too expensive? option 1 - £590 x1 day 125 - 500 training x2 days 500cc training test on the 4th Day Option 2 - £490 Same as above without the transition day from a 125cc to a 500cc. Price includes all training, teory test, practical test and they book everything for me (quite hassle free). Seems expensive though?? plus £130 i think it was fo…

Hi everyone im still planning my tour of ireland and have decided that insted of riding a distance of 200+ miles from my hometown of newbury to Liverpool to get a ferry to dublin, it would be easier to ride to ride to somewere like reading, put the bikes on a train and get off at liverpool... ... question is, are there any services that would allow me to ride the bike on and then stay with it for the journey instead of having to send the bike in freight a few days before hand? (its just me and a mate from school so far, with another forum member possibly joining in, so make that 2 bikes with luggage and possibly a 3rd)
