Hi there, my bike is slipping out of gear and into neutral sometimes. Have been told my gear selector forks need replacing. My bike is a 2004 YZ125, and I haven't seen any gear selector forks for my bike. I have seen ones for YZ250's and YZF250's. Just wondering whether they would fit my bike or not.

Has anyone tried castor oil in fuel to get that tremendous 'R' smell (my speedway days). If so, how much did you use and did it work?

Thought I would bring this to your attention in case any of our members want to attend. The mother of a soldier killed in Afghanistan has made an appeal for people to take part in a motorcycle cavalcade at his funeral in Somerset. Cpl Tom Gaden's body was brought back to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire on 3 March. The 24-year-old 1 Rifle soldier will have a military funeral on 16 March and the plan is for motorbikes to follow the procession. Judy Gaden, from Taunton, said her son was a biking enthusiast and would have loved a farewell of bikes. Gordon Kemp, ex-traffic policeman who taught Cpl Gaden how to ride, has joined in a public appeal to other enthusiasts.…

Hi everyone. so im sitting here on my bed, keyboard on my knees, going through a parts list for my Jawa 350 restoration. whilst browsing on ebay getting some prices, i saw an oil pump from a Suzuki 370 and wondered, would it be THAT hard to set up a seperate oil system for my Jawa 350?, obviously i would have to change the carb for one with an oil inlet but there are OKO carbs on the internet with that feature that are cheap enough. theres plenty of room in the side panels for an oil tank i understand that it would require a certain amount of creative bodging, but perhaps i could run the pump off the flywheel drive somehow? saves me having to carry a calculato…

Hi everyone. just considering my options RE: the shocks on my Jawa 350, its going to be too expensive and labourious to get them rechromed, and ive found that a lot of people in india have fitted RD250/350LC forks instead, but is there any way to tell if the Jawa calipers would fit the RDLC forks without physically taking them off and trying it? the Jawa and RDLC both have 18" front wheels but im not sure if the brakes would fit. any help appreciated. Also, my rear shocks look a bit rusty and although im sure they are alright, there are some nice twinshock sets on ebay for around £50, assuming i can find a set the same size as the originals would i need to consid…

Anyone know the correct codes for Marlboro orange & white paints. ? Update on TZR600, - TZR250 engine has been out to replace knackered left cylinder +piston, while it was out I offered up the XT600 lump. it will fit well but I will need to mod the lower frame mount that normally holds the lower frame brace. I will need to fab & weld a wider mount while retaining the same hole axis, I will incorporate this with the original suspension pivot point, this should give me a good strong lower engine mount & allow sprocket alignment. I'm quite tempted to buy another frame to do the mods on, this will leave the 250 in one piece for a bit longer while I make the…

Hi Guys Been riding a dt 125r (2006 reg) in london on a CBT for 3 months....going to take my full license (restricted for 2 years) in the next 2 weeks. I'm doing a 3 day course with Metropolis in london, 3rd day includes the test. I would like to find out if anyone has done their bike test on a dt 125? To get the license the bike must hit at least 62mph....I think mine tops out at 65mph but it does take a good push and strech to get there...Do you think I'll be ok with this? The other thing is that although i'm quite comfortable i'm still quite cautious when riding specially when doing u turns and slow riding...like to keep my foot close to the floor just i…

When I woke this morning, it was almost daylight - brilliant!!! And just to add, it was well after 18:00, before the night fell good and propper. Spring is on the way, dry roads, warm breeze, bees, wasps, flies - roll on May 23rd!! Clocks change in less than 4 weeks, then it'll be getting close to 20:00 before the night falls, just think of all that riding time we've got coming.....
