Well I've been with Direct Choice for over 5 years now and just received my renewal...£82...not bad some would say, but considering I paid £68 last year I was a bit peed off, so I tried their website and got a quote of £72, better! so I rang and they wouldn't match their own deal. Now I was getting rather peed at this as I also have my car insurance with them....So...done a few searches and got it for £56.77 tpft on a 1994 YZF750r...not bad for 15 years no claims (touching wood).. Just Motorcycle Insurance from Carole Nash....not sure if anyone else has used them....any experiences?

hie veryone. is there a list of set criteria of what will be tested during a bike MOT? things such as seat locks, on my jawa the seat lock has rusted up and the seat has had the lugs bent open to allow the seat to be removed without having to use the seat lock, and also the rear tyre (Avon Speedmaster Mk2, relatively old) has gone a bit square but has plenty of tread left and is not perished or cracked, will either of these be MOT failures? regards Steve

OK, for those that don't know, I'm a huge fan of the Alien movies, Aliens in particular. A bunch of mates and I get invited to go round conventions, collectors shows and the like, dressed up as the Aliens and Colonial Marines to entertain the public.... usually by scaring the shit out of them with the Alien guys!!! In return we get fed, accomodated and the shows donate money to our chosen charity, the NSPCC. We also get to hang out and get drunk with loads of famous people, like Sir Henry Cooper, Jake La Motta, Robert Vaughan, Joan Collins, Ernest Borgnine, Craig Charles and Robert Llewellyn, to name but a few. Before anyone asks, we're not like Trekkies - We d…

Just seen this on another forum...buyer beware! Last year I went to a bike jumble and thought it might be cool to fit a little light to the tirevalves that they were selling there. Big mistake, due to the centrifugal force the extra weight of the light/bulb snapped the front tirevalve and I ended up on the deck. Luckely I was not going too fast at the time and I did not suffer too much damage, the bike(GSX1100F) has mainly superficial damage to the fairing etc. So a little lesson learned the hard way. I am looking for some parts if there is anyone out there scrapping a GSX1100F(power screen model

  14. Just picked up my new project yesterday - and yes it is a 50cc scooter!! Ok - it really is for my daughter who turns 16 later this year and has been itching to get on two wheels (and I don't mean a pushbike!) She has had a few sessions on the YB100 around the private culdesac where we live, and I would have liked to have got her a geared 50cc, but they are pretty hard to come by or really expensive (FS1E), and not something you would let your 16yr old take to school to have it trashed by the chavs! Since the pictures were taken yesterday afternoon I have had the bike running and started stripping off the plastic preparing it for a re-spray. My daughters …

hi everyone been tinkering with my Jawa over the holidays and finally got it running nicely, but it seems that it is blowing from the joint where the exhaust headers meet the expansion chambers, is there a way i can seal this up as no doubt this will have some effect on how the bike runs (lack of backpressure). took it for a spin around the estate and its got a lot of go to say the least!

Do the K&N filters for bikes get oiled like the automotive filters? I recently bought a bike that came with them. They were not installed before I bought the bike.

Has anyone else been getting problems accessing the site or with a strange pornographic PM? Despite there being about a hundred separate posts on the matter, I am not sure what's happening and I can't be bothered to read the board, so I thought I'd waste some bandwidth and ask the same question again..... FFS!!!!!!!!!!

  20. Ok, I hate to ask for money but just a little from a lot of people will make all the difference. I am doing the London to Brighton bike ride on 21st June for the British Heart Foundation, yes I am mad and i realise it would be so much easier on my motorbike, but never mind I am dusting off the push bike instead. If you would like to sponsor me you can do it here http://www.justgiving.com/vickyhiggins thanks
