When the missus, sorry wife, took my bike out for the first time I was extremly worried because she had no knowledge whatsoever about the mechanical side of bikes. After about half an hour I rec'd a phone call from her mobile and she said that the bike had broken down. I thought F***ing hell what has she done? She said that the carburettor was flooded. I was very impressed and asked her how she knew that was the problem. To which she replied "because the bikes in the river"

Dear Mr Cage Driver, I was riding pillion, minding my own business when you came so close to us, I almost swallowed my tongue whole. I was not the least bit impressed by your aggressive manner or your flashing lights. You followed us for several miles through town, cutting up other cages to keep with us and going through red lights. I hope you realise that was very naughty of you. We came to an NSL zone and left you for dead, rapidly getting up to the speed limit within a couple of seconds. Again, you zoom up behind us getting dangerously close, your lights flashing in our mirrors. If we had to stop quickly, I have no doubt in my mind that I would have been s…

Hi All , Anyone travelling down through France and wanting to meet up at ferry port/ or onroute . I am leaving from Wirral Merseyside about the 18th June going via Dover /Calais ferry route , will be using Seafrance as they discount for bikers if you quote MCI. My route will be avoiding the toll roads and eventual destination will be SW France in Carcasonne, that is if me Tom Tom 2 can guide me there. Lew

I was going through some pc files yesterday and came across some old pics of great biking times so I thought let's start a thread on it. Below is a picture of me a good few years ago whilst touring France with a couple of mates. We were heading into Switzerland and came across a fantastic piece of road about 3 miles long with loads of bend and uphill. We were laden with panniers and tents but we stopped at the top of the road we were grinning from ear to ear. Someone said how good it would have been to ride it unladen. We dumped all of our stuff in a layby and spent the next Hour or so riding up and down the raod and taking pictures. Our stuff was still there when we…
