Hi all, I am a mum of twins, who if I let them live until the 9th of Aug, will be 17. They are keen Rugby players, who dream of playing for Wales. I will have to wait and see! I own a XV 535 on an L plate and have ridden bikes since the age of 14, I passed my test in 88, with a great bunch of guys in Chester, (thanks guys). My bike has been standing for a few years, due to work and family commitments, which I now intend to rectify, hence why I joined this site. I will be honest, I am here to pick your brains and get as much help as I can, to get my baby in tip top condition asap. Granted, she was in a bit of a mess when I got her,as she had been totally ratted and I…

Hey guys. Came to your forums for help if possible. I have a Yamaha 1978 DT 250 that I bought new in 1978...lol. Still all original. I haven't used it for quite a few years and just got it out and cleaned it up for my boy. About 15 years ago it ran good....then the carb started leaking gas....but it ran. I did some work for someone who was a professional motorcycle mechanic and traded for him to rebuild my carb. Well he did and it's been in a plastic bag all these years. I put the carb on today....drained the dirty gas and flushed the tank and tried to start it. It wouldn't go....So I took the air filter out and put starter fluid in....and it ran at high rpm'…

Anyone have any tuning suggestions? She quite happily gets up to 40mph but it would be good to go a bit quicker..55mph would be nice. I hear fs1e parts fit and I can adjust the gearing but I don't want to compromise going uphill because she is an auto...any advice greatly appreciated.

Hello to one and all! I'm 25 and I live in the heart of the North York Moors. Recently bought a DT and thought this seemed a good place to come for friendly and helpful advice. I've only had the bike a few weeks and already have had a few niggles that I've managed to work around. I'm planning on making this bike as nice as it possibly can be, but with limited mechanical know how, I'm bound to need some help somewhere along the way... that's where you lot come in! Cheers!

Just getting into biking...parents bought me a 1999 Yamaha XT 225 SEROW. Can't find an insurance company to insure it for comprehensive or anything else as the model isn't listed on their systems. Asking experienced riders whether it needs a compliance or something similar to enable it to be insured???

I currently own my third Yamaha, it's a YBR250. I used to have a YBR125G, which was a really awesome bike. I once drove it over 10`000KM from Shanghai to Thailand during one Month of time. Unfortunately I had to drop it in the desert of Inner Mongolia, because my friend had an accident and broke his arm there, so I had to get him out in some kind of emergency way, and I couldn't take the bike with me. Now I bought the YBR250 and use it every day. I'm totally happy with it.

Hello all, I'm Steve I'm a retired engineer and have been riding bikes for, mmmm lets think, around fifty years. I did a bit of production racing in the 1960's on a Triumph Bonneville, riding to the track and riding home, not something any one would would perhaps consider these days. Steel rims, road tyres etc etc..... I stopped because I was concerned that a small 'off' would leave me stranded. Any way, I did drop out of motorbiking for a few years, marriage, mortgage and kids. But have been back riding for quite a while. I'm not as quick as I would like but thoroughly enjoy my riding. I currently have a MKII CBF1000F which I do like, it's about to run out of warrant…

Hello to one and all, I live in Denmark and have just bought my first scooter, a Yamaha Neo´s 50 (used) its been legal for 6 days and I´m well chuffed. I have absolutly no previous experience or knowledge of scooters so I hope over time, I can become wiser in all areas and aspects of scooters and scootering. I already have a couple of issues which are puzzling me, but I´ll post them later. Cheers, Julian

Hi everyone! My name is Diogo Guerra, 27, from Portugal and own a Yamaha XTZ 750. Since I was born with some kind of screw loose this bike was revamped for off-road use. Here she is (has seen better days though...) I also like dirt bikes (who doesn't?) but riding these mammoths off-road rather aggressively is a completely different feeling. Some of you will probably agree. JFK once said something about riding heavy bikes off-road, if I'm not mistaken: «We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things (ride mammoths), not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our en…
