hi there im a new member on here . names Rab . im getting on a bit in years 52 . lol . i come from good old wishaw in scotland . im at present working on a trike project that is an xz 550 . sorry but i didnt start the project it was already underway and its easier to finish the trike than put it back to a bike . all the parts that were removed have apparently been lost or sold . im not used to yams but i have worked on a few kwaks over the years . my everyday ride is a kawasaki zl1000 eliminator that i have owned and ridden on and off for 21 years . looking forward to some chat . i will post some photos when i get time to take some . thanks . im from Suffolk in the united kindom done a full nut and bolt restorating everything but the the engine it has uprated crank, 80cc bore kit, 28mm carb with race reed valve and air filter, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a few questions ( im not a mechanically minded person ) Because of the carb the fuel is pre mixed with two stroke The oil pump requires a blanking plate, but the thats where the retract is for the throttle? Il turn the fuel on and the carb will overflow and start leaking petrol, ive checked and the floats arnt getting stuck, ( may that have something to do with the throttle?) And the gear shift is very stiff regardless of doing it …

Hi , i am a new member, I am Belgian but i live in the Philippines for more than 25 years now, i own Few bikes : Gilera 1966 100cc, Kimco Stryker 150cc, XJ-400 1981, Dragstar 2006 400cc, Cb honda 1969 450 special police model. XS 650 1982, virago 750 1981, virago 750 1989. I work on big bikes, i am not a specialist but i start to have some experience, i am the secretary of a bike club called : Road Runner MC Dumaguete, we are on Facebook. hi there . im a new member and Im looking for some advice . i have a Yamaha XZ 550 that has been converted to a trike . i want to put my own finish to it . One of the changes is to change the handlebars and wondered if anyone knows if i can change the top yoke for something that would allow this and what is most likely to fit. thanks . Rab .

Hi All, I'm a new member (typically with a desperate plea for help!). I've a good basic knowledge of mechanics and have completely restored two Morris Minors and thought I would have learnt enough from this to be able to cope with fixing up a YBR125 but my cheap and previously neglected 2006 YBR125 has me completely stumped as the bike refuses to fire up normally. The problem seems to be fuel/mixture related. The only way I can get it to fire is to cover the air-inlet to the carb partially to restrict the air flow. By doing this I can get it to run but without the restriction the bike will stall under 3000 rpm. I initially thought it was something simple related to th…

I don't really know how to start, so I guess i'll do it the way I learnt in second grade My name is Kristian, I'm 17 years old (and 10,5 months..... -.-), I live in Oslo, the capital of Norway and I ride a Yamaha YBR 125 2005 This is my first bike and it is by far the easiest bike I have tried - at least when it comes to handling. I have mainly used it to get myself to and from school, but also on shorter trips (50-100km, 30-60 miles) I would have tried to take it for a longer ride if I had the time and money.. Hey guys. Name's Gaz and I'm from Melton Mowbray. Have been riding a '98 Thundercat for the last coupla years, but the riding position is starting to get a bit too uncomfortable for my back. So I went and chopped it in for an '07 XVS1300 Midnight Star in black that I'm picking up next week. My first cruiser-type bike and I can't wait, lol. It's got short (and loud) Cobra exhausts and a sissy pad for the wife. Should be great fun and much better on the back.

I'm the proud owner of an YBR 125. I know, it's a small bike, but for me it's (almost) perfect, at least for the moment. Even if I have a full license since 2007, this is my first bike.
