Hi, I'm new to this forum. Just got my Yamaha DT125 R 1999. I have a little problem with it, it runs fine at low revs but as soon as it gets to around 6000 revs it bogs out, also as soon as the throttle is opened fully it does exactly the same. It's not a restriction as the amount of revs it bogs at changes every time. Thought it was a dirty carb but its not that as had it all cleaned up and didn't stop the bogginess. Been told it could be my coil so I've brought a new coil. Any other ideas on what it could be?

Bought an 82 yamaha xs400 maxim last weekend. Starts easy and runs good and looks nice... But has a few issues. I'm not much of a mechanic but will be by the time it's fully restored. so far, I've just cleaned it up and changed the oil & filters .Next I got to figure out why the front brake doesn't work . I bled the master cylinder; filling the lil harbor freight bottle twice, but it only helped a little. I think I really need to find a manual. Don't want to spend $80 on flea bay and thought I might come across a free download here. This is my first visit to this site and looking forward to doing some newbie research. Thanks, Scott

Heading back to Leeds University as a mature student in September so in an effort to avoid the parking costs decided to go for a bike. Not only that, riding a bike is something ive dreamed about since i was a kid, so about time i gave it a go. loving it so far!!! except flooded the engine on my first ride out by leaving the choke on :-/ wtf is the choke down for on?? i mean UP puts it out of the way nicely, anyway, had AA out a few times, luckily it was …

Hi all,My name is Rob and i'm from the Ocean State,I joined this forum to learn more about Yamahas.I always wanted a dirt bike growing up but never got one till 1995,well it was an on/off road bike.It was a Honda xr-250 or something.I liked it a lot for trail riding and sorts. After about 4 months it got stolen and i never found it.Flash forward to today.I have a friend that bought this 2002 Yamaha wr-426 about 2 years ago with approx 400 miles on it or so.They planned on selling it to make a profit but it sat in their garage for 2 years, this bike is in showroom condition. After talking to my friend we agreed i would buy it for $1500.After talking to his wife she said don't…

Hi My name's Yusuf, I have a XT 125 R which I've had nearly 4 years. I've been a member on here a while, but never actually got round to saying hi. Being honest, I'm on here now as just need a bit of advice about my bike (bit stiff when turning handlebars right) which I'll stick in The Bar (correct me if it's the wrong place!). Hopefully I'l get a bit more active on here, and look forward to learning a lot.

New member but old biker - just joined so I thought I'd better introduce myself! My name is Mike, I live near Queensferry in Scotland. I'm one of those 'older' people who've come back to biking after a few years away I've always hankered after an XJ900 - wow - now I've got one! It's one of the last built (1996) and looks in pretty good condition - I hope we can get along together! Looking forward to studying the forums and postings Regards Mike

  18. What's up ladies and gentlemen! My name is Javier, I'm from California in the San Francisco Bay Area, I had a 2007 Yamaha R6S that I sold not too long ago, but I miss having a bike! So, now I'm looking at picking up a 1986 Yamaha Radian from a class mate who is asking for $500 for it. The porblem is that it needs a "new cam chain" according to him. I've managed to find one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-600-YX-YX600-Radian-Used-Original-Engine-Cam-Chain-Guides-1987-/110965355107 but am wondering if this is the one I need. Also, how much of a pain in the ass it would be to do the work myself? What do ya'll say, should I get the bike and do the work …

Hi All, my names Tony and this is my Yamaha XVS 650 Custom. when I picked it up it had been modified, cut down rear mudguard, aftermarket indicators and lights, home made exhaust and other bits, on the plus side it had all the bits to take it back to standard, here's how it was advertised. and once it arrived home unfortunately being the Muppet I am when I strapped the bike down I put the ratchet too close to the tank and damaged the paint both sides sounded lovely but after getting insurance quotes for a modified bike I decided to take it back to standard, Exhaust done next thing to do was fit the full mud guard, fit the or…
