Hi As you can probably tell from my user name I live in Crete, Greece in a small village half way up a mountain. I recently bought a DT125R (2000) and am currently re-learning how to ride it. I haven't had a bike since I was a teenager which was a good few years ago now. Looking forward to being part of the forum and maybe learn a little from the experts here. Regards to all Creteboy

Hello all, Joined the forum looking forward to seeing everyone's projects and hopefully learning a lot, A few months back I picked up a 69 Yl-1 and I have been spending my spare time bringing it back to life. Lots of blood and sweat but that's what it all about. Have a question or two, but I'll save that for the correct thread!

  14. Started by wal750,

Evening all, Thought it about time I introduced myself having been a member for a while now. I've had quite a few Yams over the years, starting on a DT50 initially before progressing onto XJ600 pre div (had 3 of these at different times), FZS600 Fazer, XJ600 diversion which I hated, XTZ750 Super Tenere, TDM850 and finally onto the XJ900F pre div I have now. I live in Leicestershire and do all my own bike maintenance which has been made much easier by the addition of a hydraulic ramp recently (highly recommended). I'm more of a lurker than a poster but will try and up my post count! Cheers Craig

  16. New member from Jersey, Channel Islands (old Jersey, not new), I have a 2009 YBR125, which I have ridden for the last 2 years or so. Yesterday I had a bike to ground interface, which resulted in a need for a replacement front mudguard (easy and cheap) and instrument console - the back casing is mashed and the glass on the speedo has broken. Now... BrooksBarns have a speedo for a 2005/6 YBR on their site for about £34. Looking on the Yamaha parts finder it would appear that some of the internals have different part codes than for the 2007-2009 model, but are they still compatible? I have seen kph ones on fleabay for around £45 but I would rather have one that is i…

  19. Started by demonic,

Hi Folks, Thought it's about time I'd introduce myself here. I'm Harry, up in Fife, Scotland, still quite new to biking - been riding for around 3-4 years now currently on a little silver 06' plate YBR 125 Carb Model quite a cracking little bike, before that I started out on a simple SR125. Still on the L plates till I can afford to sit the full test and the hefty insurance prices if I upgrade to a bigger bike. Just figured I'd join the forum and make an appearance for a change. Looking to give my current bike a fair bit of TLC and a wee tidy up so will be scouring the forums for similar topics.

Hello everyone. Just recently passed my A license and treated myself to a brand new XJ6 Diversion in Race Blu! Already wondering what ways I can mod it. Loved modding cars, but now loving the world of bikes. Take care and see you on the forums soon.
