Hi all, just a friendly hello Currently have a Yamaha Diversion 600 (1998) which other than a few niggles im really enjoying. I like my speed, as the divvy knows ... But I also love laid back touring so it would be nice to be around like minded individuals. Will see a few posts from me regarding brake calipers as mine is off the road from today due to two seized pistons in the rear and the caliper having a stress fracture from previous owner (I've had her 2 months and put less than 2k on clock). Speak to you all soon, and safe riding

Hello All, Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Dan, 33 from Lancs. I've never ridden a bike! I've always been interested in bikes but my petrolhead route has always been cars since I got my first one when I was 16 years old. My main bike interest was the motorsport side of it- until recently when I've been helping out a mate do a few jobs on his laid up GSF600. I rather enjoyed that, and started learning all about different bikes off my mate and friends at work, so I had a look into mopeds and I've got myself a project! Its an RD 50, absolute mess and incomplete, looks like it's been at the bottom of a swamp for the last 20 years- the idea for the moment is t…

Went to a vintage bike night here in St. Louis back in November and wish I had started restoring my 1970 AT1B a log time ago. It runs, slipping clutch, but needs much cosmetic repair. I've had it since July 1971, so long that I can't remember what the silver color on the forklegs and fenders was called. Anyone out there with less memory loss than me have an idea? Thanks, Tony.

Hi I have just bought a 1974 Yamaha RD 250 US import with a genuine 8100 miles on the clock with matching frame and engine numbers and original as far as I can tell with my limited knowledge of these bikes. I am one of the older generation having passed my test (if you could call it that) back in 1971(had a bantam and then a 175cc Honda ) then moved onto a car. I came back to biking 2 years ago after a 40 year abstinence buying a classic 1960 AJS 350 which I have restored. I wanted another classic bike but the old British stuff that I like is really expensive now even for a wreck and I am not loaded, then I saw this Yam!!! Always fancied another two stroke and couldn…

Hello everyone, I am in the process of restoring a 1976 DT175 Enduro (American model) and am in desperate need for a luggage rack for it. The restoration is in Ireland although I live in Manchester at the moment. I have been on the look out for one of these luggage racks for sometime now and from my experience they are rarer than hens teeth. Does anyone out there know of where I might get one at the right price. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ]

Hi I'm an old biker (61) but a new member. Just upgraded from an xv535 to a xvs1300 the 18 year old virago was nice to ride but wow the 3 year old 1300 is fantastic, only been for a short ride today, nice and easy as I have been of the road for a few years and have never used a bike with foot plates before. Looking forward to a longer ride when I get the chance.

Hi everyone, I just joined the forum after getting my first big bike today. I passed my DAS last month and have had a Honda cbr125r since April this year. Today I just picked up my new 2004 YZF-R6 and am loving it! 10k on the clock and cost me £3k, which I don't think is too bad! Thought that I would post to say hi, and I look forward to meeting/spotting other bikers in Gloucester!

Hello everyone, my name's Reg and I come from Melbourne Australia. I've just been reinspired to start working on my bike again (I've been slowly restoring it over the past year and a half) and I thought it would be a good idea to join this forum as from what I can see there are some very experienced Yamaha enthusiasts here! My bike is a 1969 L2G 100cc and after a search on this forum there doesn't seem to be a single thread that mentions this particular model... Anyway, I look forward to having some good Yamaha-related discussions (and maybe off topic) with you all. Cheerio!
