Hi all, My name is Ben and I am a bikeaholic First off, apologies. While I have a Honda CBR , I work for Edit DDT Link removed which is a site aimed at the SR400 and XT500 It actually took me until my late 20s before I even started riding, but now, living in Thailand, it's the only way to get around (even if it is bloody dangerous even going to the local shops). I don't want to get myself banned after the first post, so I hope this isn't seen as spam. I am looking to get myself an SR in the future and will probably end up with a paid subscription soon so that I can source more parts!

Hi all, My name is John, and I've recently made the switch from car to bike. Sold my Honda Civic as we couldn't afford to run two cars anymore (unfortunately kept the C-Max, wife's choice ). I live about 4 miles from work but it's through the Mersey tunnel so unfortunately cycling isn't an option, which leaves me with either the peasant wagon, or the option of getting a little 125. Went with the latter, did my CBT, and picked up a nice little YBR 125 to amble around on. I've got to say, I'm really enjoying it so far, much more freedom than waiting around for unreliable buses, and sitting next to people coughing and sneezing on me! I've been around car foru…

Hi all my first post, just finishing last project and during a lull awaiting parts looking ahead at dt250. Looking at the id tag on the headstock it has 9/76 but it is clearly a single shock, which my research tells me should be the last year of the twin shock. Engine and chassis numbers match so I don`t think it`s been tampered with. I`ll be looking for all the electrical components as it comes to me wired with no gizzards at all just wired to run (does run) with minimal wires, no battery, rectifier, voltage reg etc. Steve

Hi all. My name is Rachel and I live in Leicestershire. I have always loved bikes but never owned one until last year. I decided to take my test last June, passed mod 1 and mod 2 first time and bought my bike on the 1st July 2013. I decided to start off with a fairly tame yamaha xj6 diversion abs fully faired and I have to say the bike is fab!! Have been running it in so have been taking it easy, and also I'm a newbie so am also a bit inexperienced so perhaps have been riding a bit slow. I have been adding all sorts to my bike (I do wish bikes would come with all the gear on them!) including a double bubble screen, crash bungs, rad guard, heated grips, rear hugger, givi…

Hi all Just passed my DAS late last year after riding on a cbt for a couple of years. Then bought an XJ6 and love it very much. I use my bike everyday and it never skips a beat. Planning trips to Scotland early spring and bigger trips over to the alps later in the summer.

Hey folks, my first post so I'm just introducing myself and saying Hello. I ride an xvs125 and have done so since November 2013, commuting mostly but I go for run-abouts with a few buds when conditions are nice (taking up the rear mostly-cruising I suppose!). I 'm not totally new to the site though, I've been browsing threads and picking up advice on and off ever since I got my bike. Cheers for that Kev

Hi. I'm Gemma, I'm trying to fire fight a problem with my husbands motorbike. I bought it for him as a birthday present but it doesn't run consistently and keeps randomly cutting out. The previous owner says the following about the bike: The solenoids were replaced as well as the ignition barrel to resolve a cutting out problem which turned out to be something to do with the alarm so then a new alarm was fitted and apparently the bike was fine... There does nit appear to be a pattern to the bike cutting out but it literally just randomly dies, when at high speed, slower speeds and even stationery but it immediately starts up again and rides then could be fine o…
