Hiya All, I'm Samantha, a lady from Cumbria, UK. Fell in love with a Yamaha Dragstar at a petrol station a few years ago, a lady owner who had toured Europe. I had great admiration for her, I asked and she let me have a sit on her bike and I decided that one day I would have one and tour on it!! Its taken a while to get past my CBT and invest in my first motorbike. I got myself a YBR125 Custom.....still building up my confidence toward my A, then gonna get myself my dream bike. Thought I'd join this club to keep my confidence up, looking forward to the info, wisdom, advice and knowledge. Pleased to be here!!! Sam

Hello everyone. *waves* I thought I'd start by introducing myself . I'm Adam from Hereford. I've recently bought a yamaha xj6 diversion f, in the racing blue, when I say recently, I mean it's getting delivered tomorrow. I'm only just getting back into biking after a 4 year break. I was wondering what people do for their Sat navs. I used to have a Tom Tom rider but for the life of me can't find it any where and a new one is out of my budget. Does anyone use an ordinary sat nav with a water proof case ? Or will the tom Tom app on the iphone suffice? Secondly has anyone had any experience with the cheapy bluetooth headset going on eBay? Your advice and experiences would b…

Evening all - new member here, had my current FJ1200 since new in '89 (got first in '86) and had a 2nd FJ 1200 (that ended up a race bike) between '94 and '09. First Yam was my FS1E in '76. My wife got her first Yam in '03 - her Fazer 1000 - which she still has and loves. Here she is with both bikes in '04 ready for family Europen tour (with our sons aged 9 & 14) In early 2011 when our youngest was 17yrs and 3 months old, he passed his bike test - and there was only one bike he/we considered - a pre '04 Fazer 600 - comfort, style, reliability, everything except 33 bhp - but a kit soon sorted that. The restrictors has just been removed and he's now enjoying f…

Hello, I'm mike, got my first when I was 8. It was a gt 60. Been addicted ever since. Anyway, got a 74 dt 175 today, put a battery in it and nothing, no lights, horn, nothing.Power is flowing around at ignition, and other places as well. Pulled the flywheel and looks like the condenser has been soldered like someone tried to change it. Stator bolts are very badly stripped. Anyone have any idea's as to the no power and no spark? Ever heard of none of the electronics not working? Thanks for any help

Hey guys, After browsing google through all the possible forums to tag up, i found yours and it seemed well layed out and informative. My name's Sean and i own a 96' YZF600R Thundercat, second to my 12' CBR250RAB. Thoroughly enjoying the bike, lots of new lessons already but thankfully never downed a bike although we could all agree theres so many close calls.. Will throw a pic up as soon as i can. Bought the bike for a bargain, unregistered, needed a service, needed tyres, list goes on but il fill all that in on my profile, my main goal (with help from you guys) is to learn everything i can similar to the way i know my cars inside out. Cheers

Hello All, I thought I'd say HELLO from the Great Lakes state of Michigan! I have a 1975 DT 175 Enduro that was my bike beginning in 1978. It was ridden quite a bit until the mid 1980's, then stored away. It is like new. Now, my son wants to ride and I pulled it out of the barn and we're working on it together. I just ordered a Yamaha repair and serivce manual for it, which will help. Everything on it works, and I've had it running. Except, I "cleaned" the carburator a bit too well and the configuration/adustment of the jets, is now off. I have another bike in the barn too. It is an early 70's (I think) AT2 125. We have that in "rough running" condition…

Hello all, new to the forums and new to motorbiking, I currently have a CBF 125 and getting towards earning my A2 licence.. My cousin has this bike, pictures below, and I don't know if its worth doing up, I want a project and this seems a great chance, I've been researching and it seems a common bike, hence me finding these forums. from mytextcheck, it's a 1994 FZR 400 not Genasis As you can see it has this Cadburys livery, It must of been done by the previous owners as google has nothing about it being a special. I would love to get it cleaned up, serviced and start restoring some parts, I would love to remove all the fairings and have them repainted in a solid m…

Hey everyone, I was redirected to this page from my original question, I don't mean to spam or anything so please dont get offended. My original post was : My Yamaha (shaft drive) seems to have a strange problem that I noticed the other day, up til about 30 - 40 mph when i pull in the clutch i can feel this "dit-dit-dit" bumpiness the i THINK is coming from the front but resonates throughout the entire bike. It is very slight but so irritating, I took it to one garage they said it's fine, then another who removed the front wheel, re-did the inner tube alignment and added a weight to it .. but it's still there. I thought it may be the engine, so I turned the bike off …

Hey guys, New member, look at my pictures. I just picked up, what appears to be, a 1973 AT3. The frame and motor # AT1-219394. It runs but not very good. It has a new battery in it and starts easy, but it is a bit of a bogger, and so I am going to start this project by cleaning the carb and replacing the points and condenser / plug. Here's the deal, I will get a book but don't have one now. Question, I have two different plugs in this thing, it's hooked up to a NGK B8ES and the spare is a W24ES-U ( not sure of what brand this is). So, is either of these the correct plug for the bike? Does this look like the original carb Mikuni - what would be the basic start…

Hi there, Just a quick post to introduce myself. I have owned a Yamaha XVS 125 Drag star for 2 years. It has been in storage for a year now but i have got it back out and into a motorcycle garage to get it up and running again (hopefully good to go by tonight). I've signed up to the sight for a few reasons: Help with any mechanical issues, To give the benefit of my limited experience to whomever wants it and to get a bit of inspiration for modding the bike. On the 1st reason i would like to ask if anyone has access to a electronic version of a workshop manual for an XVS 125 Drag star? Once i get it back from the garage i would like to keep on top of keeping i…
