Hi there, Just a quick post to introduce myself. I have owned a Yamaha XVS 125 Drag star for 2 years. It has been in storage for a year now but i have got it back out and into a motorcycle garage to get it up and running again (hopefully good to go by tonight). I've signed up to the sight for a few reasons: Help with any mechanical issues, To give the benefit of my limited experience to whomever wants it and to get a bit of inspiration for modding the bike. On the 1st reason i would like to ask if anyone has access to a electronic version of a workshop manual for an XVS 125 Drag star? Once i get it back from the garage i would like to keep on top of keeping i…

My latest addiction...again is my 1983 Tri Moto 175. It was sitting in the back of my dad's farm shop for 25 years. It took a little work, but I got that old two stroke running like a champ. Makes me feel 20 years younger to get on that thing and zip around our farm.Got some tweaking to do with headlight, cleaning up the old plastic, etc. Does anyone know if I can take the output wire from the magneto and hook up the headlight direct?

Hey there, So I'm new! New to this forum, and fairly new to riding bikes, although I have been a pillion for years (always on a Kawasaki). I decided that I am a Yamaha girl though!! I bought myself a XJR400 - heavily modified - she was gorgeous, sounded amazing, and had a lot of spirit!! Actually she was too much bike for my level of experience ... not to mention my lack of technical know how. As an older bike she needed constant tweaking and work. Twas a sad day when I let her go Not the best purchase in the world, but I LOVED that bike! So some hard lessons learned I decided I needed to buy myself a bike more suited to being a newbie ... And I we…

Hi all I'm Swedish and have been riding bikes since last year. It all started by purchasing a moped for my son, and I realised that I had been missing the workshop as in my garage. Bought an old CB750 that I overhauled and use as much as possible. Then I bought an 82 XJ650 that I am restoring just now. It is more or less ready but it runs like crap on low revs and I need ether to start so I will make a valve adjustment and a third time carb clean Lives in Sweden with wife and two sons who both plays hockey. My life s fantastic! If you have any awesome tips for my xj please do not sit on it! Thanks!

Hi I'm Phil I've just bought what I think is a 1979 RS 100 !! God parts are not easy to find. Specifically I'm after a chrome front fender, and a tail rack. Does anyone know where I can get them?? The fender looks a lot like a YB 100 or an RX 100, are these all interchangeable? Any help greatly appreciated! cheers Phil

Hi folks it's been thirty two years since my relationship with my 1977 DT125 came to an end and we split up and went our separate ways. I turned sixteen and had my head turned by a road legal Honda MB5 moped and my DT got a new partner who turned out to be evil and mistreated her badly. Over the years I often wondered about her and kept a photo of me and her together in better times but the void in my heart remained. I searched by registration number for her but found no trace so have to assume she has gone to that great enduro track in the sky. Sure i had other partners along the way but she was never far from my thoughts......If only i could turn back the clock!! Then…

Hello everyone, New member here just stopping in to introduce myself. My name is Josh and I enjoy fixing motorized recreational vehicles, Everything from vintage bikes to newer bikes and atv's that have just been neglected. I currently have in my garage a 1975 Yamaha DT400 that I picked up for $50 thats in pretty darn good condition with the exception that it is missing the Carb. I hope to gain some good knowledge from this forum as it seems there are quite a few intelligent people on here that share the same interests. Josh

So I helped a buddy pick up what looks like a GT-80 from the mid 1970s. Fuel line was connected to the wrong inlet on the carb. Looks like a pair of disconnected vaccuum tits on the carb. It'll run for a minute or two then quits. Needs everything & has been butchered. Worth a rebuild? I'd post photos but the site won't let me.
