Hi my name is Alex I would like to apologize for my abrupt entry into the forum. Not many forums are real communities nowadays so this is refreshing. I have always liked and wanted a early DT bike. I am a designer myself and really love their early styling. I finally managed to get one last week. It is a 1974 yamaha dt 175 in pretty good condition, it hasn't been modded and everything is a bit old but original. I have lots of questions and would also like to know if there are people in the area with similar bikes This is my bike as i got it last week Cheers Alex

Hello All, I was recently gifted a 1980 DT175 that's been sitting for some time, and am now in the process of getting it road worthy again. I've found lots of great information on this site, and am joining up to ask questions and contribute where I can. So far it's been an awesome resource!

Hi there, my name is gav I have an xvs650 classic. I've run into trouble with it, namely I sent the carbs to our ultrasonic tank at work and they've been misplaced. I can't kick off about it because it was a side job. I bought a spares or repairs set as I have all the internals from the old ones.. But, where the needle comes through to the underside of the carb there is a brass insert missing. My question is do any other carbs fit say from a virago as finding another set is proving very difficult. Or does anyone have any for sale? Thanks in advance for any help Gav

Hi All, Just joined, have had numerous bikes over the years, growing up in the 70's starting with an old FS1E and moving on from there, over the last few years I have enjoyed buying the odd old bike and doing them up, ridding them round for a while then selling when the next project comes along, at the moment I have a XJ750 built in 1984 but first registered abroad so it's an import, but it's in pretty good nick for it's age just hasn't been used for at least the last 9 years, so a bit of work required, and some bits, will post some photos when I can.

I have acquired a 1970 yamaha h3d. It's a 2 stroke 90cc. This information is going off information yamaha gave me from the vin number. It has been sitting for 20+ years. The restoration is slow but is going fine parts are hard to find for that exact model but have been sourcing parts off various other similar models. Just wondering if anyone knows where these bikes were released and if there many made or if they are called another model because all the parts websites I have found do not list this model any info would be great
