  1. Well first of all thanks for checking this out! (my first post ) I've just started getting into bikes and have gotten my first (Tzr50 04) I bought this bike second hand and the bike was also imported from Spain, the problem is that finding parts for this bike is very difficult and the bike needs a lot of work although it runs fines the digital speedo doesn't work, it registers as 00mph the Rev counter also digital doesn't work either, my questions are: 1.How do you find parts for an imported bike when there's not many of them? 2. How should I go about fixing the problem with the speedo? 3. Does anyone know of a bike that's shares parts with my bike, I was thin…

Evening all, New guy checking in: Dom, 23 from Essex, England riding a Dragstar125 as I'm on my CBT until January then doing my DAS (if the buggers don't up the age just as I hit the required age AGAIN) then upping to either the Dragstar 1100 or a Kawasaki Vulcan 900. For the short term though I'm stuck on a Honda CBF 125 after being wiped out by a van but will have my baby back in a couple of weeks and customisation shall begin! LH&R Dom

  8. Started by Chris M,

Hi I am a new member and just returned to biking after many years. Bought my bike 6 months ago, so out of warranty. Took my bike out yesterday no problems throughout the day. Got home washed it all over sponge, brush, hose on light spray (not sure if this is relevant). Went to start it and got a buzzing noise like a wasp in a jam jar from the lefthand side, rev counter showing 4k and the oil light coming on but the engine would not turn over. Any help or advice would be gratefully received Chris

  12. Started by Castle,

Hello all, Thought I'd introduce myself. I've been browsing the forums now and again. Figured it was about time I chirped up and said hello. So, I'm 28 - ride an XVS 650 custom 98, mainly been getting by with a Haynes Manual and perpetual curiosity. Or a fix when it's broke basis - although I am far from a mechanic. Pretty the polar opposite. See you around, I suppose. CASTLE

Hi all been lurking round here for a while now and think it's time to introduce myself. Located in Cheshire not far from J16 M6. Had a few Yams started on a M reg Fizzy in 78 then a very brief 6 weeks with a Superdream ( long story) Sold that and bought a DT 175MX T reg. Sold that and graduated into cars, college etc. Found my way back into bikes in the 80's and bought a DT again to race in enduro style events in the late 80's down in Coventry. They were on a short circuit but did last for 2 hours. Put that bike back to standard minus indicators and sold it. Later I had a TRX850 from new and sold it a couple of years ago after my wife dropped a h…

  14. Started by Jason D,

Apoplogies for not introducing myself . I live in suffolk with my folkes still. Just got my first bike at the age of 18 an XT 125 R and its causing me problems already lol. I am a keen rider out and about on the bike when not at work. Its nice to be independant and go where I want, when I want. I have done two years in college doing car machanics and had a part time job as a machanic up to the point of leaving college. I now work full time as a fabricator/welder. I can certainly see me buying another bike in a few years time , think it could be addictive lol.

  15. Hey guys, Finally got around to joining the 2-wheels club. Dad used to ride Harley's years ago until he broke his ankle and couldn't take the weight anymore but as a lad I always wanted to ride his bikes. Sat on the idea for a long time until getting with my girlfriend who is from a riding family, her granddad especially who rides a beautiful 09' Triumph Bonneville. After a few pillion rides on that I was hooked, GF did her A2 and has got herself a Bonnie too and I bought her 07 YBR 125 off her after doing my CBT. So I do feel a bit of a mug going out on a 125 in between two classic bikes but hey, we all got to start somewhere haven't we!? I do have to say that…

  17. Started by nicketynoo,

Hi just purchased a very nice old rxs100 for my son to use when he turns 17 and also to relive a part of my youth. I had one brand new in 1984 and remember what a great bike I thought it was. I need a few small parts to bring it up to scratch and I am wondering if there's anywhere you can still get original spares from. I also have a 1989 rgv250 and can still get most spares from a suzuki dealer. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. Cheers Nick.

  18. Hi there I've had my 1994 import sr250 for about 2 weeks and changed the oil last night. When I was riding her home twice she lost power and felt like she was coasting! Is this anything to do with oil change? Thanks guys :-)

  20. Started by Steve30,

Well I should have posted in here sooner as I prematurely jumped straight in the workshop for help when I joined a day or two ago... Never good with introductions over the internet aha so here goes. My names Steve I'm 24 from Kingswinford UK and have been riding for roughly 4 years on the road and just a little longer than that off-roading and motorcross. Still on CBT just never had the urge to take the big bike test yet as a 125 gets me about and to work. As far as my bikes go I have been jumping from bike to bike owning 4 strokes and found my way back to 2strokes and currently have a 99 DT125R which I picked up a few months ago (pictures to follow) Well not much…
