Hi everyone, I've just joined today and posted in the Workshop section and was prompted to say hello here too! I've been biking for quite a long time, but always on L plates. Every time I've been close to taking my test, something has got in the way. I've done my CBT quite a few times now! I have quite a lot of city riding experience (commuting to work, and taking lessons) but hardly any experience outside a 40mph limit. Only had one accident in all these years, which was 18 months ago, and put me off riding for a bit. I've only owned one bike. I've had my trusty SR125 for 7 years now (just got a fright when I counted that up and realised how long I've had him!). …

Hey! Live in NYC, about to get a DT175 (not sure what year yet) for my first bike. Excited to pull the thing out and take a look. So far I know it needs a crank rebuild, and some engine work, but otherwise its in pretty good shape. Thanks!

Hi Guys Newbie here and pretty chuffed with my new ybr 125, except I have a small issue. Well, maybe not so small! My dash board lights perdiodically cut out with the dipped beam. So together, and at the same time, they will cut out and it feels like a bad connection somewhere. Then they'll all come on again - then go out - perhaps because of a jolt from the road or I'm not sure what. Main beam however, works all the time (when i switch it on) , despite the dash being dark. I currently own an R6 and have previously owned an ExUp, an RD350, a couple of FS1E's during a mis-spent youth along with a selection of Suzuki's Hondas and the odd Kwaka. Ive been obsessed by bikes since my early teens nearly 40 years ago. The reason for my addiction stems from seeing a GT80 while living abroad in the '70's owned by a rich schoolmate and I've always said if I ever saw one for sale I'd have it. Hi- I just joined this group and am looking forward to hearing about your vintage rides. I am a retired lover of old 2-stoke motorcycles, and have owned several Yamahas, Bridgestones, Suzukis, and Hondas (and one each Sears and Mongomery Wards bikes). I have never bought a bike that runs and I like to find ways to bring dead machines back to life. I just retired, so doing this on a budget is a real challenge but I have had a lot of success with fixing for low or no $. Hi having just acquired an original 1978 DT I have already found the forums on here to be especially helpful, I live in central france and since acquiring said bike am just loving getting out on are local trails here in La correze. Am looking to leave the bike as is but want to give it a bit of tlc, something it's been missing of late. Will post a few photos once taken for anyone who's interested.

hi felow yamers, just got me a nice 1990 vmax full power ey. Had the the old wasname very fast 600 before this and about a hundred different bikes goin back 40 odd years before that . Away the lads what else is there ha ha
