After many years on v-twins, I need something a bit less high-maintenance, though still good performance. Got an offer on a Thunderace from a mate, so this is the current steed: 2001 reg, 12k miles. Planned mods are: YZF750 swingarm & hugger EBC sintered brake pads Pazzo levers Techspec kneegrips Lots of polish so you'll probably see some random and newbie-level queries in the next few months! As requested putting a hello message in here. Did my DAS at the end of last year and current running around from time to time on a 1996 BMW F650 Funduro. Quite fun and seems reliable but will only ever be a stepping stone. Ultimate goal is a blacked out Harley Fat Boy with probably a few mods but considering swapping the F650 for a XVS650 cruiser as an interim to get me used to the cruiser life until I've saved enough pennies for the Fat Boy and rebuilt our garage so I have somewhere to keep it dry! Posted some questions in the Cruiser / Custom section about the XVS650 if there is someone that can help :-) Thanks Chris.

Another newbie with a YBR125, Passed my CBT end of may and just about lived on my YBR since, Having had a scooter when i was 16 for 18months before i passed my car test i had every intention of getting another bike at some point, Now a little older (31) and hopefully a little less stupid decided to get another, i had the idea of having a year on the YBR to gain some experiance and then do my test but am already getting itchy feet and looking into doing my test and getting something a little bigger, Maybe a 250 or 400 as i want to use it for work riding through middle of leeds, but want something a little more comfortable on open roads

I've just bought a 2006 ybr 125... I previously had a dtr which was 2 stoke, is there any thing I should do/look at to make sure everything is in order? And is my 2006 model fuel injected or not? Which is better? And finally how fast will it go and is there ways to make it go faster?

Yallo just thought i would register an say hello, i have been lurking for a while on here after being given a dt175mx. To say the bike is in a bit of a mess, is a bit of an understantment, but its my first 2 stroker so looking forward to seeing if it will live again engine out i think its safe to say, i need to replace the swing arm, the flywheel side of the casing was left off - an has sat like that for 10 years in a garden - i dont hold much hope for it to be honest... wish me luck!

Hi all, I've got a 1984 Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo with yzf 750 parts. Looking to make some repairs/upgrades on the brakes suspension and I'm hoping you Yamaha geniouses can assist! Whats the perferred swap for a 1997 yzf 750 front brake? I'm looking for a good mix of quality, price, performance, and ease of installation, and it should probably stop the bike occasionally. Thanks for any help!

  13. Hi all, This is my first posting on your Forum and thanks for letting me join. My name is Colin, From North Devon and I am semi retired, have to keep doing a bit to fund my hobbies, namely Land Rover ownership, playing with my former inshore lifeboat and flying, also my enduring love 2 wheels! Now for a question if I may, although I ride my Diversion quite a bit I find myself using my Jog RR more and more, because of it's lightness and my painful back. Last week I fitted A Malossi 50cc sports cylinder kit with VERY disappointing results, as it appears to have a very narrow power band. I went for the 50cc kit rather than a 70 because of it's mileage (13,000) and …

Hi, I'm new to biking.. just bought myself a 2014 YBR 125 and have covered 500 miles in a couple of weeks. Getting used to the bike now and really enjoying the freedom and fun it brings! I do have a slight problem though and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on it: The bike occasionally cuts out when I'm sat in traffic in 1st gear with the clutch in.. when this is the case, it coincides with the bike not wanting to go into neutral - the gear lever just won't budge. Anyone got any ideas what it might be? Cheers

Hi my name is Alex I would like to apologize for my abrupt entry into the forum. Not many forums are real communities nowadays so this is refreshing. I have always liked and wanted a early DT bike. I am a designer myself and really love their early styling. I finally managed to get one last week. It is a 1974 yamaha dt 175 in pretty good condition, it hasn't been modded and everything is a bit old but original. I have lots of questions and would also like to know if there are people in the area with similar bikes This is my bike as i got it last week Cheers Alex
