HI Yamaha People How are you all doing. My name is Gasant. I am an south African. Bought or rather swopped a bicycle for a Yamaha DT 175. Thought I go on the internet to get info about this bike when I surfed across this site/forum. However this bike has a radiator to the front of engine. Was hoping a knowledgeable biker will be able to tell me more about this bike and is repairing easy. I intend to overall engine for my son to do bush riding. I Thank you. Gasant

Hi, I'm Dave and I've been riding my current Yamaha about 4 yrs now. It's an 83 XV500, had about 14,000 miles on it, and had been in storage for 14 yrs when I got it, has over 30k now. I love it! Did a 19hr run from Portland to San Diego (1120 miles) back in April, never skipped a beat. Started off back in 1970 with a 68 80cc, had a 72 XS2 and a 73 TX750 back in the 80/90s, and some Hondas and Suzukis along the way. Looking forward to new friends and swapping stories!

Hi all, picked up a 1979 DT175MX a week ago. Been after one for years to relive the joys of 2 stroke and wooden brakes and found a cracker in Cornwall. Everything matching, still ridden regularly off road but in very good condition. Bit of work to do but that can wait until winter, right now just riding her. Card's behind the bar best get in quick as it's almost broken from buying the DT! Grumpy

Hi everyone, I've just bought my son his first Yamaha, a 2006/7 DT125X, so thought it would be a good idea to join the owners' forum in order to share in your undoubted expertise in all things Yamaha. Hi all,brand new member`s first post.At the age of 58 I decided at last to get into motorcycles ( messed about at 18 years old then gave up for girls lol) Anyway,took my cbt on a ybr 125 and loved it,bought a bike of the same name a week later ,which I am still riding..... Two years later. Not really bothered about taking my test as the bike is only for commuting to work,but wanted something a little bit different.So now I am the proud ( but nervous)owner of a 2003 xvs 125 dragstar.Mint condition with only 1,191 miles on the clock !! Hi All! I literally picked up my new YBR Custom 125CC the Saturday just gone and am absolutely loving it..... I'm actually obsessed with it. This will hopefully be my commuter bike into London each day (30 mile round trip) and will save me a bomb against train fairs! I've taken her for a few rides around town and am in Looooooooove! Hi all, My name is Ben, I am a total bike noob. So here to get some advice and learn about bikes through the collected wisdom of you guys. Bought a yamaha xvs dragstar 125 in may as a little workshop project. Turns out the previous owner lied to me regarding its condition and the bike is a non runner. Zero compression in either cylinder. So tonight I will be starting the strip down and to try locate the problem. Will begin with a few drops of oil into the barrels to rule out worn rings. Hey all, As the title, join date and post count suggests, I'm new here. Hello! I've only just started riding and picked myself up a lovely XVS125 which I will be looking to turn her into some kind of baby (only being a 125) bobber. Here is my little donor as she sits today.. .... and also a picture of how I want her to look (also a 125). Being frankly honest, I am totally useless and mechanical work of any kind. Hi I'm chris and im addicted to any toys that take petrol i have a dt125 lc mk1 100cc blaney fx quad 6.5hp Murray go-kart and am currently working on my other half to get a wr250. I'm having some trouble with my bike I bought a dt125 mark1 lc about 18 months ago, it was in pretty bad shape cosmetically seemed to run ok albiet topend was poor and start first time on the kick. When I open her up it loses power to the point of being in top gear and dropping it to 3rd just to get it moving again. Thought it could be a exhaust problem as it was welded leaking and all the rest of it so went and bought a new big one exhaust, changed air filter box for k&n style filter and I'…

Just wanted to say hi. I've just got back into motorcycling after a long break and chose the xvs950 to do so. I have to say I'm really happy with it and enjoying finding my way around it. I look forward to reading other threads and hopefully contribute.

Well first of all thanks for checking this out! (my first post ) I've just started getting into bikes and have gotten my first (Tzr50 04) I bought this bike second hand and the bike was also imported from Spain, the problem is that finding parts for this bike is very difficult and the bike needs a lot of work although it runs fines the digital speedo doesn't work, it registers as 00mph the Rev counter also digital doesn't work either, my questions are: 1.How do you find parts for an imported bike when there's not many of them? 2. How should I go about fixing the problem with the speedo? 3. Does anyone know of a bike that's shares parts with my bike, I was thin…
