Hello all I’m a new member and I’ve had my XT for some years. It’s was saved from the scrap man with many parts missing or broke. Just wondering if many members have ended up with something similar from parts. 👍 Smigger

Hi All, and thanks for letting me join! I bought my 2003 53k miles TDM 900 mid December, and have done 800+ miles so far, what a great bike. Very easy to ride, comfortable and fast enough.! I have fettled the calipers, changed all the fluids and am just about to start on the valves – dont think they have been done before ! I have got a set of posh hoses for her and a SmartMoto air bypass removal kit. I also have a 2008 Ducati S2R Thou which is playing up a bit, but will get it sorted soon. I have just sold a Moto Guzzi Le Mans, what a gawd awful tractor that turned out to be ! I have had dozens of bikes over the years, mainl…

Good to be a new member on the forum, so much interesting and useful stuff on here. I have recently bought an RXS100, 1993 reg with just shy 10k miles on the clock but needs a bit of work doing - bit of a nostalgia trip but I still love the look of the RXS. Passed my test on an RXS back in 1990 and have owned a couple of other Yamahas over the years (DT125R and RD350 YPVS) will be good to tinker again, have really missed the simplicity of these bikes. Going to clean out carb, get new coil etc as the revs and pick-up are a bit hit and miss and choke is very sticky- these things are always a process of elimination! Looking forward to learning more on the forum, every da…

Hi all. Brand new rider from western Europe here. Picked up an SR125 on the cheap, but in great shape. I love riding it for my daily commute and experience the "character" of an older carbureted engine. Cheerz!

Hi there and at the age of nearly 65 I'm very new to biking. Having never ridden a motorbike in my life (5 minutes on my brother-in-law's old honda 40 years ago barely counts!) I bought myself a Moped a year ago, a Yamaha Neos 50. It had been off the road for many years, so I took it apart and rebuilt it with the help of various internet sites and got it through an MOT. It was great fun riding it around and my son-in-law, who is a mad keen biker told me I'd soon be hooked. He wasn't wrong and in July my grandson and I did our CBT, very pleased to pass. He has a Yamaha YS and I've now got the son-in-law's old Yamaha XT 125R, which, again, needed a lot of fixing to get it r…

Hi everyone. Just signed up after deciding to try and restore an old DT100 as my winter project. Ran OK last time I used it 20 years ago (when I was much lighter than I am now), but has sat in a garden shed since and has a good bit of rust about it. Lots of work and a few parts needed but I think it still has good bones. look forward to catching up on the forum!

Quick hello from an old fart returning to biking after 20 year break. Starting off reasonably sensibly on a MT03 660. Definitely not a midlife crisis!

Just saying a BIG HELLO to the Yamaha community online…👍🏼🏁 Just purchased and in process of doing up a TZR250 (87 model). I have fond memories of the local lads from the South Wirral areas ‘razzing’ around on two stroke RD’s TZR’s and the like. So always wanted one. Mine is an import from Japan and thankfully mostly there for me to refurbish and refresh. (Any pointers / pitfall info gratefully received btw). Will eventually get the thing registered but still a long way off…!!! So HI again Yam fans…!

Hi there I'm new here so go easy on me, lol. I've recently got a SR250 1981 with a few problems (so will probably be asking a lot of questions which have been asked before so sorry).

Hi all just bought myself a 2007 MT03 after owning one some 10 years ago maybe. Unfortunately it has an issue with the instrument binnacle in that some of the LCD display is intermittent. My original bike had an issue with misting in the LCD display and was replaced under warranty. Does anyone know who can repair this for me as I understand a new item is around £500? Many thanks

Hello from sunny South Oxfordshire, first time on a forum so please be gentle... I recently picked up an FZR1000 Genesis (1988 black) as I'm getting a bit too old and tired of kicking over reluctant British iron! so going back to my youth... hoping I can pick your collective brains on getting it sorted. Cheers Don't have a photo of it yet so is one of the Commando okay?

Greetings all, from sunny Derbyshire, I look forward to chatting to you, and who knows possibly meeting up in the real world. I've just bought a XVS1100 Dragstar Custom after a long long time riding big tourers - blimey what a change 🤨 So, be prepared for me picking all of your brains as to best bits, bobs, and tinkering to carry out. Cheers all Keep it shiny side up Red
