Hi everyone, my name is Jason and I have been lucky enough to get hold of a 1981 dt80 mx. Unfortunately it was in bits with lots missing but I have gradually built it back up. It's not concourse more aged at the moment as I still want to use it. I have always been a sports bike rider but due to family I decided to give that up and get some more classic bikes. So I got this dt80 mx and also a tzr250 3ma. I probably couldn't have picked 2 harder bikes to get parts for!!

Hi everyone I am a 40 something from the Eden valley in Cumbria, UK with a 1981 DT175 MX in white, which I have had since 1991. It is quite a high miler with just over 50,000 on the clock (dry miles only for the last 20 years or so). I don't use it that often now, and I usually have a bit of a laugh with the MOT tester about the pitifully low increase in miles since the previous years test. Previous bikes include a 1974 FS1-E in purple, a 1983 Kawasaki AR50 in black, a 1980 Suzuki GP100, a 1982 RD350LC in black, a road legal TY175 in white, can't remember the year of the TY. Wish I still had most of them, especially the FS1-E and the RD350LC. When I got my cur…

Hi, I have recently come about a slightly in need of TLC '97 SR 125, non runner and no papers - although I now have the registration and past history. I am still interested to work out my VIN from my short frame code and I'm not far off but not sure of the Assembly Plant letter - using 'A' at the moment Also I am using 10F00 for the Vehicle Descriptor Section which may also be a tad wrong well the 00 at then end is the bit in question. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Regards Lindsey

Hi all, Seems like I got off on the wrong foot with my hello and question, so I will begin again. Greetings to all Yamaha owners. I'm a newbie here with a newbie bike - an SR 125 which I am going to take apart and rebuild. I trust everyone is well and enjoying the lovely dry weather we are having (if you happen to be in the UK), ideal for getting out and about on a bike. May take me a while until mine is ready Happy summer biking Lindsey

Hello everyone, I forgot to introduce myself so here I am at last! I am a 28 year old driver I have only just past my test in November of 2014 and finally got my bike in may. It is a lovely yamaha xj6 diversion s on a 2010 plate with heated grips and crash bungs. I am hoping to improve my riding as at the minute as you can guess I am rubbish. Hey all, forgot to introduce myself on here after I joined up yesterday to ask some questions regarding my new Yamaha purchase. I live in in the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, Canada but grew up in Ontario about an hours drive from the big city of Toronto. I am not new to Yamaha, back in ON I had a 2000 Red and White Yamaha R6 and a 2001 Yamaha SXR600 snowmobile. I just purchased a 1980 DT175 because I have just had an itch to get back on two wheels but don't have the funds for anything new as I just started a family and purchased a project house. Oh ya, I also picked up an '81 PW50 and an '84 PW80 last summer that I am looking forward to restoring with my son who …

Hello my name is Richard, or Dick if you like...or Rich, Rick, Richie or Ricky. I answer to em all. Was registered on here ages ago when I had Fazer thou (best bike I ever had btw) but can't remember that account name or password. In the years since I was last here I gained bmw touring bike (from a very bad bmw dealer) achieved a divorce, job change, house move etc and sold the r1200 for peanuts compared to what I paid for the bent frame bitch. Yes it got bent by the folks who recovered it when broke down. I'm now lucky enough to be with an old favourite
