hi all, i'm planning a 6 month van touring trip of the US and will put a dual sport bike on the back of the van for local trips, etc. i'll be camped in some wilderness areas so need some light off road ability and also plan to drive into town for shopping. i like the xt225 and have seen 3 bikes here for sale: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/mca?autoMakeModel=xt225 the 2, 2006 and the 2007 all of which look nice i am thinking $2500 max for the 2007 and $2000 for the 2006 with 11000 miles. any thoughts on these bikes? anything i should be on the look out for? how is the price on these? thanks

As someone else has said, every time I google something I end up here so thought I would stop snooping and commit, I'm hoping to make some contacts around where I live through YOC to meet up and get pointed in the right direction for mechanics etc, also to pick through old discussions to find my answers. Hi everybody! I'm Yozef but please call me "Zef" I'm now the proud owner of a nice little XVS Dragstar 125 which I love to pieces. I picked her up for £800 squid as she needed some work doing (half the jobs are nearing completion now). Where was the advert based? Bristol. So like a madman I decided to get a coach down south, check the bike out and if all seems reasonable I'll ride her back. 200 miles, 7 hours and bloodshot eyes, a nice result for navigating back on A roads with only the use of an old map book and an mp3 loaded with the best of black sabbath. A great way for you to get to know your brand new bike never the less and a eventful experience. Anyhow…

Hi guys! I'm a freshman in college who just got his first bike. I have ridden before on other bikes, but this is the first one that I can call mine. It's a 1989 FZR 400. I got it from my uncle after it had sat for years. He's now passed away, and I'm trying to restore it back to peak health! Glad to be here

Hey everyone. My names Mikey, I'm 21 and live in Coventry. I've been meaning to sign up on here for months to get advice if it was ever needed but only just got round to doing it.. I own a YBR125 14Plate bought last July new. I am looking to pass my test by June and hopefully hop on a bigger machine by Christmas. I have a few ideas and starting my research but any advice would be great

Proud owner of a '97 dt125r from down here in devon, decided to finally introduce myself after trawling throught build logs ( you can really get lost in there!) happy to offer what help I can about these bikes. Hi all, My names Ben, 26 from Gippsland and i've joined here for somewhat selfish reason I suppose. Im wrecking a Thunderace out so I can put the engine in a quad bike and essentially build myself a Yamaha 1000cc "Quadzilla". If im welcome to, i'd like to a post up in the for-sale section for the bike parts, but for the most part i'll use the forum to document my build log here as it's technically going to be a Yamaha bike. Hello. I'm in need to understand two things. The correct chassis number of a mk1 dt 125 lc. And where will I find. How does it match to the engine. Am I right to think it's starting 10v for restricted and 10w unrestricted. somebody please take pity on me as I'm not going to buy anything but a mk1. Regards scott

Hi Folks, Well, both my wife I have bikes, at the moment I have a black XVS650 and my Wife rides a Honda Shadow 600. Hoever I have just ordered a low milage XVS950 and the Wife will take over the 650. Nice to be returning to Yamaha after a few years away (a lot of years away as we have had kids and other dull stuff to deal with). Hello All, As the title says, I'm looking to trace my old DT50 with a view to purchase. As far as I know it was taxed until towards the end of last year so hopefully it's sitting somewhere in reasonable condition. Any information greatly appreciated!

Hi Guys I'm thinking of buying my first Yamaha. Initially I was leaning towards buying a R6 but now I'm leaning towards a MT-07 or a MT-09 as I will be using this bike as a daily commute to work. What are your guys thoughts. Do any of you guys use a MT-07 or a MT-09 as a daily commute? Any advise you can give me. If I go ahead with this decision I will be doing somewhere around 60km per day in the bike. Any advise or comment's are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
