Hi my name is Mark and I am a journeyman machinist by trade for something like 30 years now . I live in West Chester Pennsylvania where I grew up riding a Yamaha 60 then on to a 250 Ossa explorer that I had to sell for my first car . About 20 years ago I purchased a DT250 and rode it occasionally , unlike my first two bikes that I practically lived on . The DT is what brings me here today

Hey guys, I'm davey, 30 from Kettering, Northamptonshire. (Always sounds like blind date or something when I do that oh well, back to the matter, I'm picking up my XS1100 trike tomoro night, yeah it's a trike, I've got problems with my knees from my previous job so it seems like a better option than trying to hold a bike up. Used to have an XV125 virago, loved that thing anyway, hi guys, how u all doin?

Sorry guys and girls, I should have introduced myself here before asking for help, I am just new to here, and hopefully I will be reading and investigating a lot more, I have already posted a thread that will be the start of my journey with my WRF450 and indeed Yamaha having been a Honda man most of my life I live in the north east of England and have ridden bikes since before I could walk lol , I have raced and race but these days it's just road / track racing, I used to race a CRF boo I here you say until I found out that what I really wanted was speed, lots of it, I love the rush and you just can get it out once it's in, the reason behind the WRF is my GEO location, …

Hey all new guy here from Kansas, USA. I have a 1977 Yamaha Chappy LB80 that I just found in an old barn. I know it has been run within the past 2 years. In the process of cleaning it up I have found a hose that I am not sure where it connects into. It looks a vacuum hose coming from the top of the oil tank. I'll post a picture here in a little while. Thanks! Ryan

Hey guys, my name's Justin, I'm 21 from Melbourne I've been riding bikes for a few years now, my first bike was a 2001 Yamaha YZ250f that I fully rebuilt myself, here are a few teaser photos....... I've also got myself a roadbike which is a 2013 Honda CBR500 BUT.......!!!! I have recently picked myself up a 1982 Yamaha XS250 (YICS) as a project for myself that I wish to turn into a café racer/bobber style bike which I have created a build thread for...... http://yamahaclub.com/forums/topic/42377-1982-xs250-project/ I'm trying to gain as much knowledge about these bikes as possible but my first plan of attack is to get it running (missing the wiring lo…

Hi everyone, well, I've had Honda's, SS50, rubbish, CBs200,3x250,550,750, Suzy's GTs125,185,500, GS750. OK I'm bored now! The gist is, like you I've had loads of bikes, and now I find myself buying a DT175,why? Well I've never had one but always admired them. And it fits in the motorhome! Just. So far I'm just checking and improving things as I go, main problem? Carrying me and the wife on a spindly spring mono shock , hopefully there's a mod ? Dave( West Yorkshire)

Hi People, Just a quick note to say hi from the Leeds/Bradford area. A little about myself... hmmm.... where to begin. First started riding on a Matchless 250, moved onto a Tiger Cub. Graduated to slightly newer bikes in the guise of the Suzuki GZ125, then jumped to the Kawasaki ZX750RR and onto the weird 16" wheeled CBR900RR. Currently riding my first Yam, which happens to be a '91 FZR600 Genesis (none exup), which has been a pet project for me for the past 5 years... yes, that is how long it has taken me to rebuild it from the ground up. It still looks like a shed, and in truth it has been down the road a few times, as it is an ex-track only bike…

just purchased a 1974 MX250 with an eye on mixed trail riding and vintage motocross. It needs pretty well everything...... LOL! I'm 58 years old and I used to race back in the '70's. I was never very fast but had a great time hanging with friends. When I saw this poor old dog in the local want ads I just had to pounce. I would send some photos but the allowable file size is too small.......... Any help on race prep would be greatly appreciated! peace, Bruce

Returning biker - last one I had was in '91... so 24 years later and voila, got myself an '11 XJ6N. Picked up from High Wycombe just over a week ago, and had 60 miles to ride home -- kinda 1st ride in 24 years.... up M40, and at exit jct10, farm vehicle had gone over causing backup a mile or so back down the M40... so I queued, not being confident on that 1st run to go up the middle of the traffic -- what a pain.... but made it home, to my wife's relief. I was in the US the week before and a colleague let me on his Suzuki 600 sports bike and I went round the block - that did two things for me: 1) gave me confidence that picking up my bike I wouldn't look a complete n*b h…

Yep, just me. this update has got me stuck between email addresses. Trying to sort out the dodgy login I went through the change email. The one I had on here was ancient and hardly secure. I have one I use for web sites so tried changing as I could only login through the 'forgot my password' option and seemed a good idea to update myself. It seems the system wont mail to @outlook, so I can neither undo what I did or log in to fix it. So for the foreseeable Cynic is 'temporary cynic'.
